SMX11 Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 Well it is hardly surprising, but lets hope he has more loyalty than a certain Mr Broad. Also how can they approach him when he isn't even out of contract at the end of the season. I would want at least 1mil + Paul Best for him
accessory Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 In a couple of years, Taylor will be on a central EWCB contract, so will hardly be playing county cricket anyway.
Fosse Boy Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 Welcome to modern cricket. We are a feeder club for the Test ground counties, and I hate it.
I am Rod Hull Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 I'd rather him develop at a better county to be fair. Whatever is best for him, and England .
Corky Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 As accessory says, he'll be an England player before long. Though I hope he's still at Leicestershire when representing the country.
Alexikokopops Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 I don't support Leicestershire. I'm not sure how this is going to go down...
Corky Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I don't support Leicestershire. I'm not sure how this is going to go down... Can Middlesex go down?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I don't support Leicestershire. I'm not sure how this is going to go down... SCUM SCUM SCUM
Alexikokopops Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Can Middlesex go down? They could go down from 2nd in Div to to bottom, where Leicestershire currently reside (I am conveniently ignoring T20. It is a game for the Philistine. SCUM SCUM SCUM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1cfEGugZeI
NorthernFox Posted 23 June 2011 Posted 23 June 2011 Hope he stays (selfishly) but have expected the vultures to circle since England mention. This is why ecb should look to distribute money similar to how american football draft works. Try for a more even plain....

This is why ecb should look to distribute money similar to how american football draft works. Try for a more even plain.... My knowledge of how the draft system works isnt extensive, but I think youre right in saying it would possibly make things a bit more even. As much as Id love him to stay, we have to look at it the same way Tigers looked at Moody, when they got rid of him... The wages paid to games played ratio wasnt really working out, due to him beind with England so much. Taylor will (I like to think hes got the potential to) be an England player, so it would probably be a benefit to the club to put the wages elsewhere towards someone that will play more games. Up the Foxes anyway
