FrankieADZ Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Was Mills there? yep, showed him at the ground and such....
Guest shearfox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Brilliant signing, certainly will add much needed leadership at the back, the team is really coming together. And I'm glad they are going to have preseason to work together.
80footgiraffe Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If it's not up at 8, it will be up tomorrow I think. On the OS that is.
Ross_Spencer Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 yep, showed him at the ground and such.... I also noticed the official photographer holding the LCFC away kit when he was talking to Mills. So they must have done all the photo's already and now we're just waiting for it to be officially announced
Leicsroyal Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Evening all, Reading fans view. On his day Mills can be the best defender in the Championship, unfortunately with us those days were not regular enough. His short fuse can get him into situations that are unnecessary. He's certainly a decent player, just not sure he's £5 millions worth. In saying that he's still young and could prove a very good signing. Obviously rated by at least a couple of prem sides so well done to beating them to it.

Leicsroyal Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Nothing against Mills for the move, it's great business for our club. He just never sat well with a large proportion of our fans. I think in a couple of years he could be an outstanding player, by that time he should have calmed down and learnt to keep the ball on the deck. At the moment you need a striker that is very good in the air, that will be Mills first vision when he has the ball at his feet.

Klinger66 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 thanks, i'll take that with a grain of salt though Good luck to you guys in getting him he's a good player, and we are a selling club unfortunately. HOWEVER, no way is the guy worth £5m. The pro's are that he's committed, great in the air, and difficult to get past. The cons are that he is no footballer, picks up yellow cards virtually every game, and is a regular with the howlers. Be interesting to hear what you think this time next year. Anyway, good luck for the season, and here's hoping he gets sent off at the Mad Stad, gotta be a good chance of that!

Leicsroyal Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 how much for jem Doesn't really matter what price we put on him, you guys will pay more than that anyway. Fair play to you though, you came in with an inflated offer for Mills the day before the Wolves mob came back from Ireland.
Leicsroyal Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 lets get shane long and kebe next Kebe does always save his best game of the season for you.

HoneyBadger Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Ooooooohh the bitterness!! Or maybe he really is a cnut? Plenty of Reading fans thought so back in March long before any transfer talk... http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=104489&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
Leicsroyal Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 and you lot replace your defence with one sale happy days for us both Agreed, good business for both clubs. You are a buying club at the moment, we never have been and while Madejski is there never will be. We've got a very decent academy set up and seem to be finding some hidden gems, buying low and selling high.
