Not sure yet whether Walshy or Muzzy will be taking part.

They're playing in a City Legends v Forest Legends match at Quorn the following day.

That club legend goalkeeper of ours dale belford who played ermm.... no games for us?

Most of our eligible keepers are playing for other teams.

Kevin Poole's appearing for Derby and Carl Muggleton for Stoke. Gavin Ward played for Bolton in the North-west leg of this tournament too.

Belford may have played a couple of youth team games for us.

Hopefully I can go. Seeing as we win it every year.

The only thing that bothers me is the London masters:

Spurs Squad:

Ian Walker (gk)

Justin Edinburgh ©

Chris Perry

Andy Sinton

Darren Caskey

Allan Nielsen

Andy Turner

Neale Fenn

 Did he play last year? I never remember him playing, not even in the Nationals

(off topic. sorry)

Not going to this, bit disappointed but have something else on.

Will have to catch up on the results on here, would appreciate it if anyone put footage up from sky on here too if possible.

Surely there must of been one keeper we could have used thats played first team games for us??

I would of liked to have seen walshy and muzzy playing in the masters but having roberts and claridge instead isn't such a tragedy.

yeah definitely not a tragedy by any means :) i will watch and support as always! hopefully we can reclaim the central masters then push onto the grand finals :scarf:

Fans' favourite Steve Claridge makes a belated debut in Masters football for Leicester City tonight.

Claridge vowed he would never become involved in the veterans' competition but admitted: "I agreed to it when I saw who was in the team."

His team-mates in the Selco Central Region Masters at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham include Iwan Roberts and Jamie Lawrence.

The other squad members are Dale Belford, Paul Groves, Lee Philpott, Barry Hayles and the side is skippered by David Oldfield.

Claridge said: "I keep myself in decent shape because there is professional pride in this, but it's also a chance to catch up with the guys because we're in different parts of the country and it doesn't happen very often."

City will be looking to continue a fine record in the Central Masters, which they have won five times in the past eight years and then gone on to become national champions twice.

The other teams involved are Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Derby County, Stoke City and Peterborough.

Law firm Rapid Solicitors will be the name on all of this year's Central Region tournament team shirts.

The event is being shown live on Sky Sports (7.0).

More Leicester City and Nottingham Forest legends will be in action at Quorn tomorrow afternoon.

The match, which kicks off at 2.0, is a fund-raiser for the Steve Walsh and Muzzy Izzet Football Foundation as well as Wishes4Kids.
