Not being funny but this idea seems a bit weird to me.

Can think of dozens of other people connected to the club more worthy of having a banner made about them (Weller, Lineker, Rowley, Shilton, Banks...) rather than just some bloke whose birthday card we fell out of.

talk about having it spot on.

TO THE TOP would be brilliant IMO.

:facepalm::|:dunno:

Even if we get a few banners... For fosse boys or the owners or just for Leicester in general. We need to make it atmospheric and intimidating. Make it a ground to be proud of.

I'm sure even if we put the idea forward to the club, they would help/contribute too as they keep saying they want the fans to be happy.

This banner idea has nothing to do with us. Also, you'd be very lucky to get any help from the club, this is the same club that said that we as fans have to push for safestanding sections and then says a banner supporting a terrace being kept at another ground as being too political.

Swear theres a banner outside the Walkers saying.

'To the Top with Sven'

TO THE TOP would be brilliant IMO. It sounds a bit arrogant if you view it one way, but if you view it t'other then it shows our appreciation to the owners. Lets do it!

Great idea. Do this and you can have my £2. We could also use it throughout the season to get extra value out of it.

And I don't understand the negativity. If you don't like the idea then don't post a comment, don't waste your time, don't donate and go and read a different thread.

And then have a thread with people all of the same opinions? Sure to get far and become better without constructive criticism isn't it.

Can you really not see how ridiculous is it?

We have nothing for people who have made 400 appearances for the club, nothing for some who have scored over 250 goals in a blue shirt......nothing for people who have brought silverware that sits in the cliubs museum for 100 years and more..

Now we want a banner for a man who has spent about £7-8million net?

John Elsom should get his own stand, he oversaw 3 times that outlay.

Seriously, sometimes I just think I'm the only sane one in a mad mad world.

Kinda my point. If a banner is to me made then those who think it's a good idea need to get together and find a few quid.

Even though I respect your opinion if you don't like the idea, it's not really helping those who actually want to do something. Doesn't really matter if there are 200 negative opinions compared to 50 positive ones. Those that like the idea need to discuss how (and IF) it could happen.

Then why not do something about it? If you passionate about making a banner for those Leicester legends then create a thread of your own and we can discuss it.

John Elsom might have overseen 3 times £7-8 million but it didn't come out of his pocket, and where do you get the paltry amount of £7-8 million from, i'm 100% positive the new owners have spent more than that, and intend to keep spending

+1 for that alone.

Wonder what they are doing with the walkers banner round the top of the stands anyway? Changing it or keeping it?

I know the seating with Walkers on is changing (from Stringer), so I would imagine the banners will as well.

We have outlayed around 9million in transfer fees, recouped around 3million.

I'll add on a couple of mill for the extra wages last year for Yakubu, the screens pitch etc...

I hope they do spent a lot more, they have just taken over the naming of the stadium, thats probably worth 20-25mill in advertising I want to see back.

The last deal with Walkers was said to be 500k over ten years, so the naming rights to the stadium are/were never going to be worth massive money.
