can't get on at the mo. disaster!

Because about a million users want to get on.

Luckily enough, I did my last changes in the afternoon - before it all went down the virtual drains.

Is it still locked up as I can't get on?

Anyone who wants to join mine would be more than welcome:

I've posted in the right one at last!

:scarf:

Shameful pluggin of my own, I realise there is a Leicester City League and I have joined it. Is there a specific FT League?

You can. Just enter the code in 'join league'. I don't think there's a limit, but keeping track of all of them can be an issue.

Cheers, registering seems to be the main issue right now.

And the site is down again.

Main page loaded up fine this morning, but when I entered my (correct) log-in information, it wouldn't let me in.

Same here. Everyone and their mother is either logged on, or setting up. 10:30 is the cut off for changes to your team. Thankfully i made my amendments last night! :sweating:

That's that then 3 hours it's been down for now so I can't join in - what a shite site in not preparing for the traffic.

You can, just you'll be a week behind

This site is currently being updated - meaning they did not prepare thoroughly in advance for the massive demand on the first day of the new Premier League season.

The numbers of players has increased EVERY year, so you'd think they'd learned something from previous seasons...

Well, it's not like they're in their first year at EA/Newmedia/whatever, is it?

I thought about getting one of QPR's defenders in before the start of the first gameweek.

Looking back at it, I'm glad I didn't do it.giggle.gif

I have Gorkss! Sheet...

1st week is always risky bidnay. I'll probably have a new team before next week!

34 points so far. Not too bad for gameweek No.1.

Gary Cahill has proven to be a shrewd signing, scored one on the opening day.

Hart, Scott Sinclair, Brunt and Nani still to play.

I usually start very slowly only to gain momentum as the season progresses.

Hopefully, I can get to my ideal 50-points-per-gameweek average.

My strategy is to put players who are likely to go in the transfer window thus lose some points in the short term, but then be able to afford better players in the weeks following....probably shouldn't be telling you this...

lol

But it only works IF you can afford the replacements.

Besides, there's about two more gameweeks to play for before the transfer window closes, so everyone can still contribute massively and I can't really foresee which players are getting left out starting September.

Also, don't forget new (foreign) players being added to the squads in the next two weeks.

It's simply one big gamble, no matter how you approach it.

Have I already told you about my "Buy cheap, drop underperformers, buy even cheaper" strategy? whistle.gif
