millzi Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I love putting on accumulators, makes a saturday so much more exciting, never won all that much, the odd weekend I put on stupid 20 teams accy's, worth 10's of thousands, been a couple of games out so many times, so heart breaking when you lose, especially when it's late goals and teams that are like top of the league losing to bottom of the soddin' league! Can't wait for the season to start and get some bets rolling.
Darkon84 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 £2 on a 6 match accumulator won me £211 once. However I missed out on a return of just over £1.5MILLION from £2 on a 25 match accumulator. I only got 3 wrong, and one of them was when QPR got stuffed by Scunny. Unbeleivable If only I hadnt have put those 3 matches in, it still would have been worth a few hundred grand
Ashley Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 £1 won me £80 in January. In our play-off season championship, I had £1 on 15 teams and Westbrom let me down for £3,600. They drew 1-1 with Watford away
orangecity23 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 £50 from a £1 accumulator. Champions League qualifying matches, just went for all the bigger teams / teams I'd actually heard of. Only accumulator I've ever had come in.
NeilyBoy Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I've never won an accumulator but my housemate lost out on a few grand thanks to a last minute equaliser - I forget which match it was.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 $5 bet multi in to $1780 Best most arsey bet was turning $1 bet picked the top 3 in a race in order $890
Salieri Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Won a fair few footy accys over the years, few hundred quid here and there. Don't tend to do 'ridiculous' accys with a huge potential return. If you're serious about wanting to make money gambling on footy then patience is required, big(ish) singles/doubles is the way forward. For instance, I'll often double up a couple of 'bankers', odds-on singularly but paired together and you've got a double your money bet. Stick £20 on (or whatever you can afford) and build your account up slowly like that. You'll take the odd hit, but on the whole you should turn a tidy profit over the course of a season.
Ali_Mauchlens_Tash Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I think about 250 is my biggest win on an accumalator about 10 years ago. Though I did used to manage a Coral bookmakers and once paid out big on a £10, -- 15 team accu. It was the 3 from each section coupon with odds of around 1450/1. (no one ever gets one of those up, right??) I remember a young looking lad I'd not seen before come in with a couple of mates and play the roulette machines. He won a few notes and put this bet on for the following day. I remember thinking...'£10@1450/1, you're throwing money away mate....2 quid max, big payouts and you dont miss it if you lose'...but obviously I couldn't say that...I think he would have listened if I did, so thankfully I kept my job shut.. I'm checking the coupons later that eve to seperate the winners from the losers and to my shock his bet had come up trumps. By 6 o'clock he was back with whom I presume was his Grandad to collect his winnings. Had to call through to head office to get money delivered the next day....I had knowhere near that amount in the safe,..plus it was on a timer lock anyway so couldn't get into it even if I wanted to. But to stem his disappointment at not getting the cash straight away, I did have some better news for the kid. He came down expecting that he had won £14,500....Then i explained to him that they are the minimum odds were you to pick the 3 lowest priced options from the sections....which he didn't do......and that actually he had won just over £26,000. I never saw him again but the Grandad did come in and told us he had gone back to university and was only here for the weekend. He also gave all the staff a tenner each for a drink...which is probably why I remember this story so vividly if I'm honest. I've a crap memory but I never forget free drinks!!

Mickey O'Neil Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I won £768 on a £1.60 bet once at William Hills. 16 bets...5x 10p trebles, 10 x 10p fourfolds, 1 x 10 p accumulator I got 4 out of 5 scores correct, I remember getting Leicester (7-1) and Aberdeen (14-1!!) correct. Can't remember the other 2.
lavrentis Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Fiver on King first score at 7/1 I think. Had a fiver on Tunchev scoring in first half with silly odds against Lincoln 2 seasons ago on my dad's behalf and almost had a heart attack when he nearly scored.

All I remember of that game is N'guessan missing from just about on the line for them, and frank Sinclair skying his penalty. edit: also, anyone want to explain to me how accys work?
topharry123 Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 won 85 quid on joey gudjonnsen to score first in one of our games a few seasons ago. Couldn't believe the odds were that long at 17-1 !! Also won 100 on betting on Leicester to win league one.
