Share your stories of huge individual wins or runs of fine successes Ran up £8 in betfair to £2,000 a few years ago, withdrew 500 and lost the rest (Had a grand on Milan to win the champs league, in THAT final V Liverpool) Still can't watch it. On an accy can remember winning £300 off £2 once but I've come off that now, you stand a far better chance of making a profit backing hefty singles, just you have to be prepared to lose a lot more as well. Had £25 on Uruguay EW in the world cup last year at 80/1 which got me excited at the semi final stage.

I was waiting for him to see out his last horse and saw a 100/1 outsider in a race of seven, five of which had run in that years Derby. The outsiders last race was in Ireland and had come 20 lengths behind the winner in a race worth 3 grand to the winner. I had 25p left and did a 10p each way on it.. It won The most satisfying win iv ever had...

Meant to put down france and italy (playing bulgarira and hungary away) as away wins but ticked the draw column for both not realising, and they both drew and the rest won! Chuffed

But perhaps my biggest moment was an accumulator where i was 1 minute away from 13 grand. Cant remember exactly what year it was, maybe 2005? I put a tenner on 14 team accumulator. Ended up with 13 wins and 1 draw. And the Draw??? Leicester V Ipswich. Injury time own goal from Matt Heath i think it was. Tears were shed

Put it on the day before i went away on holiday to turkey, completely forgot about it until the following weekend. logged into my account and noticed it had come in! Needless to say the turkish economy ended up £400 odd quid up!

I was pissed as a fart and when I walked away from the desk I noticed that I had put it on Gera! I started to queue up to change it but my mate said you got to leave it now cos it will come in, sods law and all that. Bugger came in didn't it. But then, when I went to cash it at my local laddies they said the bet was placed on fryatt! I was like no way, look at my sheet and said I meant to put it on Gera. They paid me out in the end. It was decent. The two sheets must have been slightly crumpled. Little beauty paid for that awesome day out. Other than that and a wee double on Real Madrid and Leicester once I won **** all. Worst gambler ever.
m00nie Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 never really win much myself, remember years ago though few freinds chipped in and made a big bet that come off. they won thousands.. ended up a right hassle though as they had won more than the bookies paid out for winning bets so there was a big argument as alot of the bet stake was reaaly dead money and they argued shouldnt have been taken.. they got paid out in the end..

ramboacdc Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 me personally. i won £200 over the cheltenham week this year with just 50p singles and a £2 forecast on the gold cup. football i always have a go i cant recall any big win. i work at paddy power now (used to work at coral) and ive seen people win big on football and on the horses. most ive payed out in one go was about 2k when 2 66/1 horses came in on a lucky 15.
