orangecity23 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Update - thanks to the Live Streaming thread, was able to watch the whole game on a decent, english commentry stream from the hotel. Skinned my knees sliding across the floor when Lloyd scored. Shame I wasn't there, would have been a mental celebration.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Am I the only one who will be a a miserable sod tomorrow? My wife has decided to plan and arrange our holidays around the most entertaining and important 2 weeks in years in my LCFC lovin career! Not only am I going to be in a small village in Brittany, with only two lamposts to rub together, I will be spending it, a.) without internet b.) with my in-laws. To top off my lack of Real Madrid pleasure, I will spend my next Saturday, missing the opening game against Coventry by a long hot shitty drive down to Bordeaux (approx 6- 7hrs). Now I'll probably get a text or two, and maybe I'll find a signal on the motorway, but I can see myself opening the door whilst the car is in motion and tumbling onto the roasting tarmac with my iphone clutched between my teeth bracing for the impact. Small favours by destiny indeed will allow me to view our game against bogey team - Rotherham United, which I have no doubt will not be streamed, unless someone has a great app for that, and a steady hand to hold their phone up for the entire game. Otherwise I'll be a misery around the 6 course entrées, before we actually eat any food with any real substance at the in-laws house. I could pretend to be sick, and creep off to bed to follow the game via text, but I somehow doubt it will be worth it. Am I the only one who will be a miserable shite tomorrow and for the next two weeks? YEAHH! I'm off on my hollibobs. Dont know about miserable but you're certainly a pussy for allowing it to happen... You've had weeks to go away spherical, im shocked by this behaviour!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 You missed a nothing game, where the music was too loud, the PA was crap, there were no surprises at half-time, opera was played and we lost. Stop whinging!
Karljohn Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Its amazing what football can do, makes a man who's in Bordeaux wish he was in fokin Coventry.
sphericalfox Posted 4 August 2011 Author Posted 4 August 2011 So i have signal! Here's something I cobbled together: http://wp.me/p1aysq-5s Sorry about the linkage, using a iphone abroad.
Jakemoore Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 It's just a football match.....enjoy your holidays mate
sphericalfox Posted 4 August 2011 Author Posted 4 August 2011 There's no such thing as 'just a football game'. I want to savour every Svenny moment. History is about to be made. Also I've asked my in-laws to call me Spherical. They don't know why, but I don'tknow what it is in French.
Hollism94 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I didn't get a ticket for RM game! My mate who I said I'd go with didn't have any cash at the time. I offered to lend it to him but he didn't want to go in debt to him. Anyway, they sold out pretty quick and he still didn't have any money so that was the end of that. I spent Saturday helping my cousin move house and checking my phone for the updates on the game. Even worse is that I've "got to" go on a caravan holiday in a few weeks meaning I'll miss Forest away! Going to the Cov game though
sphericalfox Posted 5 August 2011 Author Posted 5 August 2011 I know this thread is pretty self-centred, for that I apologise! I will be glued to my phone with whatever singnal and reresh rate it allows me on my 7hr motorway drive to the Southwest of France. For those going to the match and updating on FT, keep the highlights coming, I'mgoing to need each andevery one of them!

THEFATBASTARD Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 There is no need for anybody to"miss out" tomorrow...go the stadium tomorrow, and buy a ticket or pay at the gate ,you will get in..........
Daggers Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Its amazing what football can do, makes a man who's in Bordeaux wish he was in fokin Coventry. Nice.
sphericalfox Posted 5 August 2011 Author Posted 5 August 2011 Sphérique. Spherique Renard it is so. Should make the drive that much more painful. My wife's oul man is a French rugger, shame I know nothing about the Tigers per se. I've already told them the reason my phone is always in my hand is that it's just in case my mistress contacts me. I guess they didn't get the joke. I thought it was French thing...
