sphericalfox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Am I the only one who will be a a miserable sod tomorrow? My wife has decided to plan and arrange our holidays around the most entertaining and important 2 weeks in years in my LCFC lovin career! Not only am I going to be in a small village in Brittany, with only two lamposts to rub together, I will be spending it, a.) without internet b.) with my in-laws. To top off my lack of Real Madrid pleasure, I will spend my next Saturday, missing the opening game against Coventry by a long hot shitty drive down to Bordeaux (approx 6-7hrs). Now I'll probably get a text or two, and maybe I'll find a signal on the motorway, but I can see myself opening the door whilst the car is in motion and tumbling onto the roasting tarmac with my iphone clutched between my teeth bracing for the impact. Small favours by destiny indeed will allow me to view our game against bogey team - Rotherham United, which I have no doubt will not be streamed, unless someone has a great app for that, and a steady hand to hold their phone up for the entire game. Otherwise I'll be a misery around the 6 course entrées, before we actually eat any food with any real substance at the in-laws house. I could pretend to be sick, and creep off to bed to follow the game via text, but I somehow doubt it will be worth it. Am I the only one who will be a miserable shite tomorrow and for the next two weeks? YEAHH! I'm off on my hollibobs.
Charl91 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I'm on holiday just east of Bordeaux at the moment. Luckily I have internet, so might be able to get a stream of Leicester vs RM, but i'm gutted that I'm missing the game.

MrSpaM Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Stick a massive coat hanger on your roof and you might be able to pick up radio leicester in Bordeaux
sphericalfox Posted 29 July 2011 Author Posted 29 July 2011 Didn't you check the fixture list before booking School boy error, mate. When the in-laws are paying both for the flights and the rented house I'll be trapp...I'm mean staying in, I had no choice in the matter. I'm thinking of accidently falling out the bedroom window. You can't travel with broken vertebrae can you? I can bring my laptop to the hospital.
The Doctor Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Find a shady doctor and pay him to give you a certificate declaring you unable to travel at the present time.

Just read this to the lovely Mrs Oz, she advised (and its the action i would take if i were you). 1) Find Internet cafe (even the French have discovered it) 2) Find hot french/Latin local gentleman and introduce to the Mrs. 3) Settle back with French wine and enjoy the rebirth of Leicester city as a Premier league club. 4) Be confident that you will be free for all and any football/ weekends from here on in. Priorities young man.. Priorities!
NeilyBoy Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I feel your pain bro - I'll be at the Brighton stadium stewarding their 'big' friendly against Spurs...

Priorities young man.. Priorities! That's great advice there oz, and thanks for the input from Mrs. Oz. However, I've decided to take the feminine route, and simply moan and drop hints of my displeasure all throughout the holiday, and bring it up anytime I'm losing an argument or want to get my own way. There must be someone else who's comparably in the same boat as me out there! Please share my pain!!!!
LestaFox92 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I can share half of your pain but i will be there to see us get spanked by the los blancos!!!!!!!!

At least I've got a stream to watch though. You poor sod. If it's any consolation, it took me hours to find a chastity belt for the missus. What with Ronaldo & Sven about I ain't taking any chances.
orangecity23 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I'm missing out on tomorrow's game. I bought my ticket weeks ago before my holiday. Got back from my holiday, first day back at work got told I had to go to Alabama for 5 weeks for the support contract our company (engineering firm) has at the new steel mill. So tomorrow, I will be sitting in my hotel room trying to get a stream to work on the asstastic hotel wifi, whilst the motley crew of my Dad and my 2 housemates enjoy the game. Even worse is the knowledge that if the mill hadn't been down 8 days for maintenance, I would have been done and back home in time to go to the game! Bah humbug. <_<

I know some of you won't be bothered by my dilemma and my update, but (sigh) I will have try my best to keep up to speed via my phone, and pay the consequences when the bill comes in, should i get any reception. I will climb the highest tree to get reception if I must (sigh). Thanks for those who understand my predicament. Grateful for those who will update on FT to let me know what's going on. Let's hope we get a striker soon too! Au revoir mon amis. Cmon you FOXES!
