maynefox Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 3v1 to us As some people mentioned defensive communication are a bit of a problem, so will concede one, A fancy a defender scoring from a set piece, and the striker or the winger getting a goal. Mills (corner) Nugent (Open play) Gallagher (set-piece) COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME ON YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU FOXES!!!! (yes I cant wait )
blueblood88 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 We always draw with Cov, so i'm going for a cagey 0-0 or 1-1. There won't be a lot of goals
paddy Agyemang Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 2-1 Gally and Nugent we will go 1-0 down then come back
CCFC In Peace Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 CCFC fan posting in peace. You are going to tank us !! That is all.
lestajigs Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Anyone no if there is a weatherspoons. In Nuneaton, or a pub that serves beer at 10??
blueblood88 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Anyone no if there is a weatherspoons. In Nuneaton, or a pub that serves beer at 10?? I'm pretty sure there's a wetherspoons in Coventry city centre, or theres one in Hinckley and in Bedworth. You could go to one of them early then get the bus into Cov.
basil7 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Anyone no if there is a weatherspoons. In Nuneaton, or a pub that serves beer at 10?? theres 2 i think, i live in nuneaton, no doubt It will be crawling with police. One is quite close to the station at Bond gate. The other is is stratford street bit more of a walk but only 5-10 mins.
CCFC In Peace Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 I like your optimism. When you've had a pre season like ours with talk of administration and transfer embargoes etc you struggle sometimes to muster up the energy to even go. Season ticket has arrived though so hopefully it'll be worth the money. The hype around this game always far exceeds the quality on the pitch so hopefully that'll be different this weekend. May the best team win
Joe. Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Really we will never have a better chance to royally embarrass these no-hopers. They've lost three of their best players on free transfers, and have no fit strikers going into the game. Given how we've strengthened you'd expect this to go only one way. But it doesn't always work like that, especially in this division. I can see us getting off to a slow start, Coventry to enjoy their customary good opening and for this one to end 1-1. Sadly.

I do fancy us to win because I don't think we've been this strong on the field since we went up under Micky Adams, and as you say Coventry's problems have been massive. It's a huge opportunity for us. Hope you enjoy the game on Saturday, just not too much eh?
Donut Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 A comfortable win 2-0 Mills header from a corner and a poachers goal from Nugent
robbieLOVESthealmightylcfc Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 5 - 1 five goals for bamba then he'll score an own goal just for banter
Dave Gavin Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 1st game of season , we should not expect too much , Having said that , An unusual pre season, being in media because of the signings and the standard of opposition. Coventry will try to shut the door but we will prevail with a 3.0 win, guess at Nugent with 2 and Vassell with the other. C'mon the foxes!!!!!
Hollism94 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Looking forward to this. My first away game. I reckon 3-1. Goals from Nugent, Gally and Mills. Own goal from Mills too.
FuriousFox46 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Coventry 1-3 Leicester We take the lead, they level shortly after. Then we dominate 2nd half with 2 goals.
Yojoe36 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 1-3 They score within the first ten minutes. Then we score just before half-time. We score our second and third between 50 and 60 minutes. I'd bet a tenner on it
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Taking my old man, uncle and brother to this. Really looking forward to it as it's my local derby. Been before, nothing special like and won't even be hitting the beer, but still should be a good game. Expect it to be like a Leicester invasion. Being optimistic, 3-0 City! Scorers - to quote a facebook group 'You cannot fathom the immensity of the **** i do not give'
Melton fox boy Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Lumped on at 5/4 !! Gone In big for this one . Will give me plenty of ammo for skeggy trip next week ! Up the foxes

Guest MattP Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Should win on paper but a draw wouldnt surprise me.
block15ccfc Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Alright guys just thought i would post on here. I think with you guys its mainly forest and derby but some over this side think us as rivals. With cov its 50/50 with some fans saying you as main rivals some villa. Its a tricky one for me as i think your equal with villa in my books. I do think well know that if villa were in town, there would be ques miles long outside ricoh with the armchair cov fans that go, when we start playing well, ie when we played leeds sitting in a nice 3rd place last season, we got our highest league gate in years. On saturday i can see roughly 26000 6000 of you lot there but with rumours of le fondre and mcfadden on there way to cov, i could see a big rise. Theres no doubt i can see you lot beating us, but i think we will hold our own. Our players to look out for Lukas jutkiewicz He started pretty poor after his 1mill move last year, he ended the season on a high, which has attracted 2+ plus bids TO STATE he is fit fit the game he twitted last night, just a little dead leg raring to go for saturday Gael Bigirimana(think i got it correct!) This young lad with a wacky hair style, has had a sensational pre season, coming through the academy 18 year old Gael has already turned down offers from villa and man city. The small midfielder has pase and a superb passing ability and took Norwich apart on saturday first half, he could be a little surprise package this season, looks like he will be starting on sat. Sammy Clingan Such class, works superb in andy thorns fantastic passing way off play, also has a deadly free kick as you lot should know Connor Thomas Went on loan to liverpool at christmas this tall passing player also works fantastically in thornys style of play, great on the ball could be a great player for cov this year, glad his liverpool move just failed I hope this year you lot make a little more noise, i know that we have been ahead a lot off the time when playing, fair play though for bringing 6000, not a surprise though saying up the road, first game, and your investment. Cov possible team Murphy Keogh turner/craine mcpake hussey Clingan Baker/bell Bigirimana McSheffery O'Donovan Juke My prediction Coventry city 1-2 Leicester City King '2' Juke att: 27001 6012 leicester See you saturday
deanolegend1989 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Coventry 1 - 1 Leicester Clingan (FK 67) Gallagher(Pen 26) We'll take the lead from a Vassel run down the wing taken out Gally smashes the pen in..then we play pretty poorly and they equalise from a free kick top corner. We then pile on the pressure but lack the cutting edge and it ends all square. Post match saying what im saying now: WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER!
