Okay... Whether we play 442 or 433, that is two players in every position. I was worried about GK but Schmeichel looked good on Sat, a Leeds fan mate of mine said he was very much like Weale (not a bad shot stopper but basically a bit sh*te).

We defo need a striker though and should trade Waggie or bring one in and loan out Schlupp or Waggie.

Only other worry... Only 5 players in squad aged 23 and under on 6 August 2011? Balance seems wrong. But then there would only be 8 players in their 30s so maybe not too much to worry about.

Conclusion... A very strong squad that should be favourites (IF we get a striker!)

The wings are looking poor; as they have done for a decade.

Agree. Depends on what Sven's plans are for formation like, but I thought we might have brought in quality out wide (obviously we went for Routledge).

Interesting to see how the defence compares to last season - in terms of goals conceded - a marked improvement I would think.......however,

as it stands imo we'll score a lot less - two strikers needed for me...

I'd ship out Schlupp and possibly Waghorn on loan - to guarantee them both first team football

Gallagher is a right sided player not left and we also have Adam smith as a keeper

I recon within the next couple of weeks the final squad will look more like this:

GK- Kasper, Weale, Smith

RB- Peltier, Pantsil

CB- Bamba Mills St Ledger Tunchev

LB- Konchesky, Ball, Berner

Midfield- Wellens, King, Abe, Danns, Johnson, Fernandes

Forwards- Vassell, Gallagher, Dyer, New Striker, New Striker, Nugent

I would anticipate us loaning or selling Oakley, Moussa, Schlupp and (Howard if we get 1 new striker- Waghorn as well if we get 2)
