N'Guessan to Millwall

1) How is this transfer related?

2) Schlupp WON'T last 45 games, he IS very young and needs to be nurtured. He'll play 20-30 no problem, but won't have the stamina yet. Case in point, Hernandez only play 27 times for Man Utd last season.

3) We don't have time to try players that haven't made an impact before.

a) I've no idea what evidence you've got for saying that apart from Sven suggesting the guy would be sent out on loan which wholly baffles me given that he looks like the only all-round striker we've got..

b) So when and where do you try them? Even the most seasoned players have bad games or even runs of bad form. It's not necessarily an age thing. Yes we need a new striker but as well as, not instead of.

Is it me or is this just typical that we loan out a player and they score instantly and make an impact. Sometimes I wonder if Sven just wants his own players at the club rather than give those a chance that were here before??

N'Guessan isn't good enough for the division, especially within our side which has more quality now than when Pearson was manager. Sven is not an idiot, he knows what he is doing you know and he isn't just playing 'his players'.

N'Guessan is a very inconsistant player and isn't good enough, hence why Sven doesn't want him.

Think Vassell should be loaned out to then if that's the case.

No. What are you on with? Vassell hasn't put a foot wrong since joining. He is versatile, strong, fast and can chip in with a goal. He has much more quality than N'Guessan.

a) Literally no idea what you're referring to. Is it the fact I said he won't last 46 games? In which case, please point out an example of a successful 18 year old that played 46 games in their first season.

b) We don't need to try N'Guessan, he's proved that he's too inconsistent to be of value. End of.

Doesnt score enough though does he, 3 goals all last season isnt a great return. I personally dont think he is any better than Dyer and he never gets a look in really, but I think Vassell should be playing in the central striker role rather than the wing he impressed there before Yakubu came in. But Sven must know what he is doing.

Vassell comment taken completely out of context......someone else had posted that N'Guessan was inconsistent so we should get rid. My reply was if that's the case ship out Vassell (I don't want us to) but nor do I want this club to keep giving up on talent/potential or selling players for a fraction of what they are worth (Fryatt and Hobbs are 2 classic examples). What Sven needs to do in my mind is mix things up now and again and revert back to a 4-4-2 on occasions. We will soon see the likes of Waghorn and Vassell flourish and he can use the abundance of midfielders he has out wide (Danns, King, Oakley etc). the reason a lot of players don't fit in is because Sven insists on 4-3-3...be flexible is alls i'm saying. Hell Sven....remember Owen-Heskey back in the day!!

No because that is exactly what you get with N'Guessan, fantastic one game and then the next game he's absolutely shocking.

Consistency is N'Guessans big problem and he badly lacks it.

You have absolutely nailed it my friend.

In his "back catalogue", N'Guessan has pace, athleticism, strength, flair, good in the air, can cross a ball, can work down both flanks and can score.

He looks storming in his youtube clips.

But if you needed to rely on a player over a period of... 6 games (I'm not even going to say half a season) he would let you down on more occasions than he would deliver his potential brilliance.

I suffer from something similar myself so I know how the lad must feel.

I'd keep him for the short term because we lack wide players.

But if we bought a decent winger in January, then open the doors to sensible offers.

Vassell has always been played out of position, and as you stated, down the middle is his natural position. He looked lively, and scored, when he played centrally against Doncaster last season.

Personally, I think he offers much more than Dyer and since arriving, I think Vassell has been a very consistant player - I cannot recall him having a bad game at all.

Just watched the Football League Show from last night, N'Guessan ripped Forest to bits yesterday pace and power down the right wing exactly what we lacked against Reading.
