lildave3 Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 lol Yet more bad news for Arsenal. A good 14 days it's been for the Anti-Arsenal crowd. Adebayor - who didn't punch Lampard but refused to leave the pitch anyway, has been FINED and banned for an ADDITIONAL GAME. Brilliant. How funny would it be if they didn't qualify for the Champions League?
Geo V Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 How funny would it be if they didn't qualify for the Champions League? They have some games in hand so I think they will make it ahead of Liverpool, especially with the Scousers in the Champs League but lets hope someone comes out of the pack and sends the superkids into the UEFA instead!
Phube Posted 10 March 2007 Author Posted 10 March 2007 ARSEnal for the Championship..!!! Don't be silly!!! That's ours next year!! They'll have to be runners up!! lol
lookwhaticando Posted 10 March 2007 Posted 10 March 2007 Bolton for the Champion's League!!!! That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
MC Prussian Posted 10 March 2007 Posted 10 March 2007 That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I do sincerely hope you change your clothes as often as your club affection and loyalty these days... First the Brum, now Bolton???
lookwhaticando Posted 10 March 2007 Posted 10 March 2007 I do sincerely hope you change your clothes as often as your club affection and loyalty these days... First the Brum, now Bolton??? I've always liked Bolton... and I've never disliked Brum. They're just part of a select group of clubs who I'd back over most teams, and who I don't hate with a passion. Birmingham and Bolton are but two members of this club. But yes... I do change my clothes more than once a decade.
MC Prussian Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Whino Wenger at his best (again): Henry's misery blamed on France Arsene Wenger believes French football bosses are to blame for injured striker Thierry Henry's miserable season. Arsenal boss Wenger said: "I feel Henry has been badly managed by France. "After the World Cup final I gave him a holiday. France called him up less than 14 days after he came back - and they played him in the whole game. "It was a friendly, so why did they need to play him in the whole game? And he has played every friendly since, when he was already on his knees." Henry, 29, will be out for five months after suffering stomach and groin injuries during Arsenal's Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven last week. That follows a number of spells on the sidelines this season for Arsenal's record goal scorer, who has struggled for both fitness and form. France coach Raymond Domenech has used Henry in seven international matches this season - including three friendlies - and played him for 90 minutes in all but one of the games. Wenger hinted that he had already been concerned about the demands being placed on Henry last year. He added: "It was very difficult to get in touch with the French national team after the World Cup. You know the French!" Story from BBC SPORT: http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/sport2/hi...nal/6448845.stm Published: 2007/03/14 08:07:37 GMT © BBC MMVII
Phube Posted 14 March 2007 Author Posted 14 March 2007 You can almost hear him scrabbling around for excuses as to why his team have been crap all season!!
lookwhaticando Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Yeah... when things go tits up for me, I tend to blame the French, too.
Phube Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 Come on MON, you're better than that <_< He never beat them with us either!!! Not in the league since 1994/5 season have we beat the Arse!!!!
lookwhaticando Posted 18 March 2007 Posted 18 March 2007 Arsenal struggled in the North West (again). Rain soaked, hail-pelted Goodison Park to be precise. Great goal from Johnson, and Everton deserved the win.
lildave3 Posted 18 March 2007 Posted 18 March 2007 Everton At least one Andy Johnson is capable of playing football
Phube Posted 18 March 2007 Author Posted 18 March 2007 It's just a shame I missed it (Bloody Mother's Day!!) Ha Ha!!!
Phube Posted 29 March 2007 Author Posted 29 March 2007 The genius of Wenger: "We only got knocked out of all the trophies, because we were trying to win them!!!!"
lookwhaticando Posted 29 March 2007 Posted 29 March 2007 Nice one. Makes a change from him complaining about the fixture congestion. Along with the other poncey managers who like to bitch about it. <_< In future, we could tell managers who moan about fixtures to 'do a Wenger' and crash out all three cup competitions - that'll cut a few fixtures from the calender.
lcfc_jme Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 I can't wait for the Premiership to come back now. Arsenal are only going away to Liverpool. I envisage another victory for Arsenal on Merseyside, and this thread will not be as prominent come Saturday night. I hope!

I really would love it if they didn't make the champions league. Although they'd only go and win the uefa cup

Although they'd only go and win the uefa cup Get bent. Stevie G has had two extremely tough games for England this week, what with having faced Israel and Andorra, and so won't be as effective for Liverpool on Saturday. At least you did say something positive about Arsenal though. There's hope yet!

lookwhaticando Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Got royally tonked by the beanpole. Perfect hat-trick by Crouch, and another goal from Agger (quality player... bet Arsenal wish they had him). Arsenal looked completely out of sorts, their passing was almost as wayward as Andy Johnson's at times.
