StanSP Posted 11 November 2013 Posted 11 November 2013 Arsenal's first real league test and they didn't even show up. Tottenham at the start of the season? Liverpool last week? Given the form they are in, I'd say Liverpool was a tougher test than Utd.
Jimothy Posted 11 November 2013 Posted 11 November 2013 League leader have narrow defeat against half decent top half team shocker. Arsenal have beat Spurs and Liverpool whilst they were on decent runs and Dortmund this season. This loss is no different to Man Utd losing to Spurs or Everton in recent years and is in no way an indication Arsenal aren't challengers.

This lose is no different to Man Utd losing to Spurs or Everton in recent years and is in no way an indication Arsenal aren't challengers. But it is an indication they aren't going to run away with the title. This is shaping up to one of the closest, or poorest, title races for a while, none of the big clubs look amazing, Liverpool are probably the only club that actually look better than last season (apart from Southampton), Arsenal at times look very good but they haven't convinced me that they won't suffer the same failings as every other season in the last 10 years. If Chelsea, Man City or United click into gear soon then they will overtake Arsenal and win the league.

Spurs have won at Arsenal once in the last 20 years. Can't remember the last time Liverpool won away at a big club. So no, this was definitely their hardest test to date.
