who likes BEP then?

and not just coz of that buff girl ;)

Although it's not at all my kind of music at all, I have to say that I was really impressed with them on Later with Jools Holland

The musicians in the band play multiple instruments (EG 1 guy played bass, trumpet & keyboards - but not at the same time :P)

Also the vocal stuff they do is pretty difficult to do live and most bands attempting that sort of stuff either mime or sound shite

Conclusion: BEPs were very slick live

I think that some of their songs are great, particularly 'lets get it started' and 'dont phunk with my heart'

but, the girl makes me like them more than i should lol

Not usually my type of music but I don't actually mind the BEP's, and the Fergie (The girl in the band) makes me like them even more!

There was a time when the Black Eyed Peas did some of the most progressive, joyful and intelligent Rhymes and Beats. That year was 1998 and the album called "Behind The Front".

"Bridging The Gap" was still O.K., but ever since that girl joined the band (or since the producers thought it was a good idea to create more mass appeal), their style has become a joke. I'd like to know the full story why "Fergie" joined the band at all (or why she was attached).

I deeply dislike their last two albums and the music s'ucks. :yesyes:

Fergie was brought on because will.i.am needed someone for a duet on "Shut Up". She became a permanent member when they realized she went well with the group and that she would make them more commercially successful.

And I like them, as I like my hip hop to pop.

i'm not keen on them, thought where is the love was boring as most of their music, i don't like politics in songs. i can listen to some of their songs until it gets to the rap part where i switch off completely
