Head Honcho Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Not sure why we're all surprised Hammond had to be on something when he was playing for us....................you can't be that shit on purpose!
Bert Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Bednar everyone already knew but Newton and Hammond are new to me. Why are dodgy players always somehow linked to City? Surprised Newton was new to you. I thought everyone knew about that. Bednar everyone already knew but Newton and Hammond are new to me. Why are dodgy players always somehow linked to City? stivesfox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Elvis Hammond was banned at Fulham for 6 months for being a Coke Head interesting he came to us soon after! Despatches named and shamed him! Though suppose the lure of highfields made Leicester attractive proposition!!
zubi Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 I heard on 5 live they were going to uncover a premier league footballer on taking coke tonight Elvis Hammond of all people
Karljohn Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Certainly didnt take any performance enhancing drugs did he. He was shit every game.
Mack Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Now plying his trade for Woking. Another example of someone with natural ability who pisses it away with stupidity. If our club were not informed about this I would sue for compo.

LCFC BEAST Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 The main person was Gary O'Connor but they added on that Elvis Hammond tested positive as well.

Mack Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Also got a ban for drugs. As did Roman Bednar at WBA. Add that to Elvis and the local dealers must have been on the bread line once they all ****ed off.
accessory Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 The Newton and Bednar stories were hardly news though. Didn't they both serve bans? The programme was pretty deflating, delivering far less than the build-up promised and leaving viewers underwhelmed. Why does that feeling seem so familiar?
Mack Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Coke has been prevalent amongst footballers for years. They're young and rich and mix in the sort of circles where coke is very common. I worked for a large National organisation and made upper management level and it was commonly used there also. High pressure high reward careers are full of coke. I know a guy who is on the board of directors of a huge national company that flew through the ranks on the back of coke. Steroids are the like are something serious football football, social drugs are just a by-product of the social culture amongst rich young men. However is could be argued that although it is not cheating on the field of play it does show a player has a shit character and it should be made public or at very least aware to any club thinking of signing a player that has been found to be using such substances.
skinnydipper Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Elvis Hammond... interesting! Speed was about the only thing he had
Master Fox Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 I think Elvis could have been as good as Deigo Maradona. Such a waste of talent. Showed such brilliance and skill. Had real eye for goal. Could have gone to be one of the greats. Proud he wore the blue shirt, really proud.

Master Fox Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Good one. Each to their own, but I thought he was poor, or worse. You must have been watching a different player. The Elvis I saw was magic.

Alexikokopops Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Did anyone else watch it and think that it was a new episode of Brass Eye? The over the top mannerisms from the ridiculous presenter, the headlines panning across the the screen (sadly not as good as gems like "Sacked chimney sweep pumps boss full of mayonaisse."), the shite graphics of football club logos that really weren't necessary. I was half expecting Chris Morris to pop along and interview Kriss Akabusi about cake.

LilMissFox Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 They should've named the England players, would've made the documentary more interesting
