He is inconsistant (hence why Blackburn sold him), lacks pace, lacks commitment and doesn't tackle. But he didn't lack committment in tackles etc once his form improved last season. I'm putting him down to being a slow starter because what I've seen so far this season is a carbon copy of last season.

He never tackles or gets stuck in, and it puts the team under pressure. He doesn't even bother to close down players and it does my head in. Obviously I don't wish an injury on any player, but hopefully now we can revert to 4-4-2 or something with Dyer on the right. Gallagher does my head in, I don't rate him at all. He certainly wouldn't make my starting 11 in this division, never mind the Premier League. No wonder Blackburn sent him out on loan to Plymouth and Stoke etc
