Joe. Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 What it says on the tin. Not necessarily the most popular, who would you say are the best and worst foreigners to pull on the shirt?
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Depends what you class as foreign - Muzzy Izzet played for Turkey but he's from London: Would you class him as English or Turkish? I'm gonna say turkish and so Best: Muzzy Worst: Too many to name - possibly Elvis although De Vries pushes him close.
Salieri Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Depends what you class as foreign - Muzzy Izzet played for Turkey but he's from London: Would you class him as English or Turkish? English (like you).
Karljohn Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 If your talking born outside of the Uk then Pontus Kaamark was quality, worst probably Gabor Bori, utter shite.
Joe. Posted 1 October 2011 Author Posted 1 October 2011 If your talking born outside of the Uk then Pontus Kaamark was quality, worst probably Gabor Bori, utter shite. He was the obvious choice for me too. Plenty of dodgy foreigners on short-term loans sadly.
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Best - Kaamark, Zagorakis, Gudjohnsen... take your pick Worst - Freund Can't think of too many bad ones...
Kilworthfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 What it says on the tin. Not necessarily the most popular, who would you say are the best and worst foreigners to pull on the shirt? Best: Muzzy Izzet, Pontus Kaamark, Theo Zagorakis, Matt Elliott, Kasey Keller, Sol Bamba, Gary McAllister. Worst: Jacob Laursen, Jari Rantanen, Nathan Blake, Stephen Hughes, Gareth Williams, Peter Canero, Rab Douglas, Joe Hammil, Alan Maybury.
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 English (like you). Oi, Parentage I'm both, place of birth is neither, I hold a passport for both so I figure I get to choose which country to be my nation.
Salieri Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Oi, Parentage I'm both, place of birth is neither, I hold a passport for both so I figure I get to choose which country to be my nation. You were born in Coventry though, right?
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 You were born in Coventry though, right? Yes - that's not England or Scotland - It's roughly on a par with 15th century Somalia and is it's own separate country.
Salieri Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Yes - that's not England or Scotland - It's roughly on a par with 15th century Somalia and is it's own separate country. Ha, i'll give you that one.
Joe. Posted 1 October 2011 Author Posted 1 October 2011 This is outside the UK, obviously. Sorry Kilworth.
Kilworthfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 This is outside the UK, obviously. Sorry Kilworth. Booooooo
jonno24 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Best Foreign player has to be : Pontus Kamark Worst : Roman Bednar,Gabor Bori,Leon Crnic,Mark De Vries,
gazfox9 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Pontus Kaamark undoubtedly one of the best. Too many to mention in the worst!!
ealingfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Roberto Mancini must be the best player but not for us of course. Kaamark was quality.
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Best: Muzzy Izzet, Pontus Kaamark, Theo Zagorakis, Matt Elliott, Kasey Keller, Sol Bamba, Gary McAllister. Worst: Jacob Laursen, Jari Rantanen, Nathan Blake, Stephen Hughes, Gareth Williams, Peter Canero, Rab Douglas, Joe Hammil, Alan Maybury. Matt Elliott is english aswell...
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Matt Elliott is english aswell... He's a scot boy, he's capped for the national side and scored for us against the faroe Islands.
Guest MattP Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 : Matt Elliott admitted he had never even been to Scotland before he played for them. Farcical. Izzet was English as well, born in London. Best - Kaamark Worst - too many to mention.
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 He's a scot boy, he's capped for the national side and scored for us against the faroe Islands. Matt Elliott was born in Wandsworth South London he had never even been to scotland before playing for them, he chose to play for Scotland as he didnt think he could make it into the England team and wanted to play national football
Kilworthfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Kilworth, what nationality was Matt Elliot? Matt Elliott was Born in Epsom Surrey, England. However played for Scotland so because he can't now play for England he is Foreign haha The real point is Elliott was quality for us, I'm quite sure we all agree on that!
BoneDog Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Keller, Kaamark and Zagorakis are my favourites so far. Awesome lads when they were here. Not got a valid opinion on Bamba (although I'd doubt he's at ther level yet) as I've not had a season ticket since league one and only been a few times since. Not sure about the worst, think I've forgotten them!
