OzFox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Spider Kalac would have to be one of the worst, although to be fair keepers mistakes are always more visible and he only played three games One foreigner that sticks in the memory was Jari Rantanen. He was popular but not sure I'd put him in the "best" category. Frank Mclintock maybe? (as a player, not manager!)
Salieri Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Matt Elliott, Muzzy Izzet, Frank Sinclair, all ENGLISH.
shen Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Matt Elliott, Muzzy Izzet, Frank Sinclair, all ENGLISH. Ade Akin-bad-buy-i? You did that just to provoke didn't you?
The Doctor Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Ade Akin-bad-buy-i? Crap like Englishman and from London - he doesn't even fit into the Muzzy Izzet/Matt Elliott factor of being good enough to be clearly not English.
Narborough_fox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 You did that just to provoke didn't you?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 What it says on the tin. Not necessarily the most popular, who would you say are the best and worst foreigners to pull on the shirt? Has this stemmed from our conversation yesterday mate? Haha, I'd class Nathan Blake as foreign. So him as the worst. Can't look past Kamaark or Keller as the best, though.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Patrick Gerrbrand. That guy was an absolute donkey!
MGLCFC Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Here's a prediction - Yuke Abe will be one of our best overseas players. Past and present Kaamark, Zagorakis, Keller, Bamba, Gunlaugsson or Fenandes (don't class Izzet as foreign or anyone from the British Isles, Mancini not here long enough and Yakubu only on loan) Worst The list is massive Spider Kalac Jimmy 'Casino' Neilson Hossein Keabi Leon Crncic (although we never really found out how bad) Momo Sylla Gabor Bori Michael Lamey Zolt Latczo Sergio Hellings Moreno and there's probably loads more
Tielemans63 Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Arnar Gunnlaugsson - wouldn't class him as one of the worst but for me is never one of the best. I remember being delighted when we signed him from Bolton but he never really cemented his place in the team and was largely inconsistent. Michael Lamey definitely was shite. Awful, awful player.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Worst Casino Jimmy or Sergio Hellins.....thanks Martin Allen
NorthernFox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Best: Muzzy Izzet, Pontus Kaamark, Theo Zagorakis, Matt Elliott, Kasey Keller, Sol Bamba, Gary McAllister. Worst: Jacob Laursen, Jari Rantanen, Nathan Blake, Stephen Hughes, Gareth Williams, Peter Canero, Rab Douglas, Joe Hammil, Alan Maybury. Your'e not having the mighty Finn! Worst of all Time: Gregor Stevens Scottish and Fooking awful
shen Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Worst Spider Kalac Jimmy 'Casino' Neilson Hossein Keabi Leon Crncic (although we never really found out how bad) Michael Lamey Sergio Hellings Some of these fellas never even played for us, how can we say how bad they were? For me, anyone that has a substantial amount of games for us despite being utter crap should be considered. I mean, we could list many more foreigners that didn't ever make the grade. Worst Casino Jimmy or Sergio Hellins.....thanks Martin Allen And Mandaric
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Pontus Kaamark undoubtedly one of the best. Too many to mention in the worst!! Pontus Kaamark the best yes definately :sweden: Dennis Wise the worst (okay hes from England ) so i will go for Elvis Hammond as the worst
General Smuts Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Best: Franck Rolling, Pegguy Arphexad, Nicolas Priet, Lillian Nalis Worst: Max 'Crossing my legs is difficult' Gradel
