acooling08 Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Schlupp definately couldn't cut it in the Premiership, yet anyway. He is borderline good enough for the Championship.
dog_4 Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 the owners are trying to set up an annual tournament in bankok against europe's elite! make contacts and be able to sign players like alacantara on loan! cause we aint gonna get iniesta! if we get to the premier league we need players in midfield who can keep ball! hence why i think we should go spanish! couple of quality young players at bilboa! and what about llorente has the top striker i was thinking out! if we can get an ex england manager and go for people like beckham! we can go for some of spains top talents!
Jace Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Brilliant Probably the most highly rated youngster in the whole of Spain who's already been capped, played a fair few games for them this season and has recently signed a 5 year contract with a E90m buyout fee. Ideal lets sign him
Guest MattP Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 You've had a 'mare, he's only 25!!! He's still got a few years before he gets to his prime. WTF? I had no idea he was that age! That's promising then...
Jace Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 WTF? I had no idea he was that age! That's promising then... for St Etienne...
Heskey2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 I think the majority could make it in the prem, reason being that with sven at the helm, he'll get them playing as a unit and that makes pretty average players look much more talented and getting good results, focusing on the strengths and suring up potential weaknesses, eg Andy Carrol - world beater when used as target man with nolan and barton hitting decent balls up to him, now he's in a different system doesn't seem half the player he was. It's all about how they're used, if King is allowed to make those runs late into the box he'll score goals no matter what league it is. Same with Beckford / Dyer if we create space in behind defences they'll look good,

Dan Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Kasper would be the only certainty for me. At a push, Mills, Bamba, MAYBE Peltier in time, King in time, Abe in the right team, Fernandes possibly, Nugent in the right team (wasn't "out of his depth" at all, impressed for Burnley), Beckford in the right team.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 This is true. "if" Abe is nowhere near prem quality... Solid at this level but that's it IF we make the prem we need at least 4 more good quality players.. Mainly midfielders IMO and a top striker
ealingfox Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Think some people are seriously underestimating the PL here. The poorer sides in the league gave players like Gary Cahill in defence. Nugent? I'm sorry but already proved to be miles out of his depth in the top flight. Maybe Mills could make it, Fernandes and Konchesky could in their prime but not sure now. Beckford looked ok but wasn't a regular in a team that struggled for strikers. King doesn't merit a place in this division half the time. Kasper might be in time. Titus Bramble.
EnderbyFox Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I think the fact that Fernandes got MOTM against Spain at last years World Cup proves he can cut it with the big boys?
Izzet is God Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Kasper Bamba Peltier (in time) Mills Fernandes King (in time) Nugent Beckford Even think Vassell could be an experienced sub, got to remember he has been there for plenty of seasons before he went off to Turkey so knows the league.
KIRBYFOX93 Posted 9 October 2011 Author Posted 9 October 2011 FFS four weeks ago we was shite n going down. Now we are picking who is good enough for nxt season in the prem. By xmas some will be buying players for the champions league. I have said all along I think the squad is good enough to get up given time. But lets be real so far most of the squad have only had a couple of good games. Players for the prem at this min 1 Kasper At what point did i say we are going up... I simply asked who would you think would be good enough to play against a prem side / be in a prem side .... Up the blues
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Konchesky? He's quality. The most underrated player (by FT members) we have
