davieG Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Ex-glamour model lines up swoop for Sheffield Wednesday MEET the woman who wants to put the wow into Wednesday... Sheffield Wednesday Published: 2011-11-01 OWLS ABOUT THAT ... former pin-up girl Sybil Danning wants to buy Wednesday MEET the woman who wants to put the wow into Wednesday... Sheffield Wednesday. Sybil Danning, a former Hollywood action girl turned film producer, featured on the cover of Playboy in the 1980s and was once christened the 'Sex Symbol of the Year'. Now the multi-millionairess has set her heart on getting the League One Owls flying again. It sounds an unlikely combination but Austrian-born Danning insists she is deadly serious. Owner Milan Mandaric is willing to sell if he believes someone else can take the Hillsborough club forward. Danning and her husband Horst Lasse are astute players in the business and sports world and 10 years ago rescued a German ice hockey club from bankruptcy. She said: "We have been looking into buying an English team with a strong fan base and great potential. "Sheffield Wednesday matches those ideals. It is one of the most famous names in English football and, even though it has suffered in the last few years, we believe we can give it the energy needed to get to the Premier League. "We have been studying this for the past month and if negotiations go well we hope to conclude an agreement to buy the club." From the Sun
davieG Posted 1 November 2011 Author Posted 1 November 2011 I'd have her any day of the week like Mandaric should would become SHeff Weds biggest fan(ny)
Corky Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 And paves the way for a glorious return to Leicester for Milan.
ajthefox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Owner Milan Mandaric is willing to sell if he believes someone else can take the Hillsborough club forward. Well of course he is isn't he? Be very interesting to see if this actually happened, and although it's quite comedic the Ice Hockey thing puts them on a similar level to our Thai boys in a sense of their business experience.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 It'll be another tidy profit I assume? He's not daft is he? Just an absolute mercenary who claims to love football but clearly prefers money. And yes I did think this before and during his spell as LCFC owner. He was f'ing lucky NP did so well in L1 and the Champ and then the twat went and sacked him. So glad he's not here anymore.
Guest MattP Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 He's an absolute scumbag with no shame, his business ethics would make a Jew blush. If his mother got cancer he would sell off the medication if it was profitable, you think at his age money wouldn't and everything and he would want try and build something for people to remember him by.

I never trusted the man and the way he treated Pearson was disgraceful; personally I believe it was a dodgy deal between he and Sven to make Pearson feel unwelcome and not offer a new contract so he could bring Sven in with a fat contract paid for by the new owners. Once a shyster, always a shyster, but there is no business like shoa-business.
