DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Perhaps he´s only get shit from leicester so called supporters! :scarf: I think you are right. There are many so called supporters who are only interested in muck throwing. Very sad and stupid individuals.
Tony Mowbray Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I've always rated Jermaine, but today he was utter shite.
stix Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I've always rated Jermaine, but today he was utter shite. That comment is completely incorrect.
Fox92 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Thought he was good today, better than before. People near me booed him when he came on, disgraceful.
bob gregory Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 That comment is completely incorrect. Agreed
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Beckford didn't score as many goals for Leeds as he did or 10 for Everton (including cup games) in his time there no reason. Yes he's been awful, but this whole issue seems to sum up our "fans". It's pathetic the way he was booed at West Ham, he's still wearing blue and white and it's not as if he's doing it on purpose. He'll come good because he is a good striker. Fed up of our fickle fans moaning at our own players. Even Yakubu wasn't good enough for some. Pathetic. Now I'm not going to write Beckford off just yet, all new players need time, but the booing of him at West Ham was not pathetic. What was pathetic was a performance by him devoid of any effort, commitment or desire. Maybe if someone's not playing well it might not always be productive to boo them but if someone puts in no effort when they're being paid to play in a game that I've travelled a long way to watch for quite a bit of money then they deserve all the stick they get. As for today I think it was his testimonial were it not? Could have fooled me.... Not the wisest of moves today Beckford, when you've shown sweet fa so far for our club. My patience could wear very thin, very soon.
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Beckford looked sharp today hopefully he's going to start playing well.
accessory Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Well, Andrew Neville admitted during one RL Phone-In somewhere in late August/early September that they had been watching Beckford for quite a while. So much for your "panic buy" theory. So why was Sven offering stupid money (reputedly £7-8 million) for players like Maynard, Jelavic and Hooper then? Some of the signings, including Beckford, were done just to make a statement rather than to improve the quality or cohesion of the squad.
