mhs123 Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 first post after folowing for years,it seems we all know who we will sign but as usaul others are also after them or we are trying to get at a knock down price which will eventually lead to us paying over the odds for proberbly not our intended target, ifeel after the previous management team have showed our hand in willingless to get whoever for whatever we may well be left high and dry and need to rely on the loan market, but nigel will get so much more from this team and dont be surprised to see waggy banging them in when he returns..thank you

Having said that Nigel is worlds apart i doubt we will sign anymore than 2 people this window and i wouldn't be shocked if we don't sign anyone what we need are the players we have to step up to the plate and find our formation if its 442 433 451 532 or anything we need to find whats best for us and then we can find players to add to our working formula but atm nothing is working right and adding more players might not be the answer
Howard9 Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 I dont think nigel has ever had this much money at his disposal and he might not know exactly how to use it, but signings will happen eventually personally i hope we do bring in two wingers and waggy starts under pearson he was a fantastic little player, sven did spend ridiculously large amounts of money ( Mills ) And hes yet to perform his best, pearson will hopefully be alot more defensive in his bids and wont be held out to spending alot, he wants to bring in his own players which is all well and good but its going to cost alot to draw players he wants from Dull City, but nigels man management seems to be alot more effective, sven just seemed to let the team play how they wanted and he kept his favourites in the team week in week out, pearson has done it somewhat this season ( Gally, Wellens = shit and king) but hopefully we bring in new players and see those 3 sit out for a while or be sold
GLC Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 First post, After following for years, It seems we all know who we will sign, But as usual others are also after them or we are trying to get at a knock down price, Which will eventually lead to us paying over the odds for probably not our intended target, I feel after the previous management team have showed our hand in willingness to get whoever for whatever we may well be left high and dry and need to rely on the loan market, But Nigel will get so much more from this team and don't be surprised to see waggy banging them in when he returns..thank you
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 It's quite a critique of this post that at first I thought it was a spambot. Kind of a reverse of this: http://xkcd.com/810/
City Lad Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 It's quite a critique of this post that at first I thought it was a spambot. Kind of a reverse of this: http://xkcd.com/810/ Behave yourself, he's new to the game. Back to the original post - I agree that the previous coaching team allowed us to become a magnet for speculation and subsequent failure when trying to get those players to sign on the dotted line, a fate I'm sure Nigel Pearson will be able to avoid. Pearson's hostility towards the press is often detrimental to him but in the transfer market I can't help feeling it is his best trait.
He's not bald Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 What happens in January can reflect happens in the retail world if your not careful, you can go shopping and buy something that you think is a bargain but when you have it you realise it's not and you didn't really need it in the first place!,,,,keep the receipts Nidge!
