'Sven' Mess'

all this "gallagher, wellens, king and dyer were pearsons player". Yes, they were and were great under Pearson, remember the days they were competing with the midfield of newcastle and the double over blackpool and their midfield of charlie adam and david vaughan. Sven unfortunateley made them shit and now pearson has to pick up the pieces.

Sven made them shit is the best thing I've seen on here - amazing.

Lets us not forget this team of gutless wasters was assembled by Ericksson , this performance is in line with

the awful displays against Reading , Bristol City & Millwall

IT WASN'T THOUGH. There are plenty of Pearson's pre-Sousa team still here. He needs to be able to deal with it.

I'm not sticking up for Eriksson or Pearson but they are both managers. This "it's not his team shit" needs to fvck off. It's arguably a better squad now (albeit thinner) than when Pearson was last in charge and I know for one I'd prefer Schmeichel, Nugent Peltier and Vassell to Weale, Fryatt, Neilson and Dyer.

It's getting fvcking irritating people irrationally defending Pearson and sticking up for Sven. They are both underperforming with the group of players available. This team did well enough before Sousa took over and the additions of decent players like Mills (highly rated centre back last year), Beckford (Everton's top scorer), Fernandes (Swiss international), Abe (Japanese international) et al should have meant progress. I have no idea what is going on inside the club or what has been over the last 18 months but a decent manager has all he needs to do well.

Another point: consistency. For starters I think we got rid of Sven too soon. I think he should have been given this whole season then properly evaluated on performance and potential. You need a base on which to build and we keep changing ours. Different managers have different styles and different ways of doing things and you will not get anywhere changing every 6 months. Despite this poor start with Pearson I again feel we should stick with him now he's in charge. Another manager before next Christmas will just set us back yet another season and if that did happen we'd deserve it. We've committed to Pearson, give him until toward the end of next season at least. If we're showing progress then great, if not....God knows.

I've been through this before but getting bored of seeing it!

When Sven left, if we had beat Millwall we were up to 4th. We got beat, but we were still just outside the play offs.

We had beat Southampton, Brighton, Derby all flying at the time.

Were now 15th, playing boring football not picking up victories against the likes of Doncaster, Barnsley, Peterbrough.

Pearson has made his own mess!

Southampton (if you went) were a lot better than us and we were very lucky to beat them. Sven's superiority is a complete myth, there can't have been many poorer managers in our history that have spent so much money and left such a poor squad. Only Peter Taylor imo caused us more damage.

Sven has gone but his irresistible charm seems to have got a few hearts fluttering. He did nothing at city other than spend wads of cash on removing the spirit and fight from our squad. Pearson has been left with a whole heap of shit to sort out and a few of you have put your Sven rose tinted specs on and remembered a time that city were great under him, where we played expansive football and ripped teams apart. We didn't. We lacked width, creativity and drive. Problems that will take Pearson a good few months to fix.

I'm not defending Eriksson but this is getting boring. Yeah, he wasn't the greatest and yeah he left us lacking in some areas. But you cannot love Pearson this unconditionally. He's playing HIS players whenever he can. How good have Gally, Wellens, Dyer and King been this season? And see my recurring post below....

"Fvck it, I'm gonna say this to every shit post like this I see.

Who signed Schmeichel, Konch, Peltier and Nugent, arguably our 4 best players this season? Possibly even add Bamba to that list."#

He is our manager, he needs to quit whining, just like you, and get on with managing the team.

Wellens and King were given long-term contracts by Sven, and their form has declined ever since. He also compared Gallagher to David Beckham..lol

That's irrelevant :S

My point isn't anything to do with the players. It's aimed at the people who are claiming Eriksson made this 'mess'.

Your recurring post is equally as shit and as whiny as any comment you are attaching it to. I don't have any unconditional love for NP. I respect his work previously with city and with hull and whilst I don't agree with all of his decisions (e.g. King) I trust that he'll move us forward as a club. Make no mistake, He needs months to fix this shit.

Again, you've completely ignored my point. What 'shit'? Half of it is his 'shit' in that case and like I keep saying, our 4 or 5 best players have all been Eriksson signings. So again, what 'shit'? They're capable players, a decent manager would be able to do something with them.

A lot of stick (quite rightly in some cases) coming in for players who NP previously signed

Just had a look on Wikipedia to make sure my memory isn't playing tricks on me & NP wasn't here for a year & a half including 2 summers

That's hundreds of training & coaching sessions that NP & his staff didn't take but Sousa & Sven did

Hardly what I'd call players in Nigel's mold.

They did used to be of course, but then they finished 5th

I think calling them NP's players to further your point is stretching it somewhat.

Yes I did go actually.

Southampton may have dominated but we still came away with 3 points.

Would you prefer us to dominate games like today and come out with nothing?

Just like to add Southampton were top and are still in the top 2 now, Barnsley are 14th.

Regarding signings everybody is saying there a waste blah blah but under Sven he got them playing we were 3points from the top 4. Nobody was moaning at the start of the season about them so stop being so hypercritical.

Clueless.

He didn't get them playing at all?! We've been crap all season. No balance, no tempo, nothing. Judge Pearson after he's spent the amount Sven has and you might have a point. Who exactly would you expect to appoint if NP got the sack ( lol ) by the way?

Oh, and of course people were moaning at the beginning of the season, this is Leicester City Football Club.

This is spot on, we need a new philosophy mind set whatever you want too call it, get rid of the deadwood.

Very true! however this only indicates we weren't a mess 'during sven' as it would be we were 2 wins off where we wanted to be with sven here, now we're a ****ing miracle away from it!

How can you say we've been crap all season?

We put 3 past Southampton, 4 past Derby and went on a 4 game clean sheet streak.
