'Sven' Mess'

I've been through this before but getting bored of seeing it!

When Sven left, if we had beat Millwall we were up to 4th. We got beat, but we were still just outside the play offs.

We had beat Southampton, Brighton, Derby all flying at the time.

Were now 15th, playing boring football not picking up victories against the likes of Doncaster, Barnsley, Peterbrough.

Pearson has made his own mess!

Couldn`t agree more. Stop blaming Sven. NP should be able to kick some fire into this absolutely miserable bunch of so called footballers.

Get a f...... grip and start exceeding our expectations just for once please!!!

The results when Sven was in charge was sometimes frustrating but he wasn't given enough time. If he was - we could slate him but he wasn't - for all we know we could have been 4:th in the league with him in charge. I'm pretty sure we wouldnät be worse than 15:th.

Sven had to clear up Sousa's mess for starters and then we gave it a right go at trying for the play-offs last year with a team full of loan players. I remember us playing some very good attacking football. This season he wasn't given a long enough chance and now we have a squad full of Svens players playing for Pearson which is clearly not working and now has us in 15th place.

Sven really wasn't as bad as people make out.

Of course we could have lept up places, that was earlier in the season when it was far more bunched

When Pearson took-over, a team tipped for the title was 12pts from 2nd spot hardly reason to get the flags out & start sucking Sven's cock after £15m of summer spending and a whole summer of coaching Sven's way

We're now 15pts from 2nd, so depite how bad we've been, which is truely awful we've broadly kept the same pace as the top 2

anyone who doesn't understand the importance of a summer's worth of coaching & the ability to sign 12 players of your choosing, doesn't understand football

should things be better, hell yes

but the rose tinted specs for captain feck-up himself (Sven) is embarrassing

And you're calling for Pearson out after less than half the time Sven was given!!

I'm not sure how many points we were off the automatic places by the time Pearson took over. But the weekend Sven was sacked we were 5 points of Middlesbrough who were in 2nd.

But we didn't beat Millwall, just as we didn't beat Bristol and we didn't beat a shit Reading early on.

He's left us with an imbalanced squad and Pearson can't remind us enough of this whenever it suits, but a decent manager would at least be able to get some decent performances out of the squad he left.

Lets us not forget this team of gutless wasters was assembled by Ericksson , this performance is in line with

the awful displays against Reading , Bristol City & Millwall

Posted

His biggest mistake was not changing the midfield in the summer when he had the time and cash, plus signing Mills and Beckford but he is gone now and we have to try and get these players working somehow or make a huge loss on them

Wellens, Dyer, Gallagher and King were at this club long before Eriksson took over.

I'm just going to repeat what I said in the post match thread......Pearson's insistence on the hoofball is taking us backwards

But we don't seem to have a midfield that has any creativity, in fact they seem to struggle to pass the ball forwards.

We are a total mess, and have been pre and post Sven.

This is spot on, we need a new philosophy mind set whatever you want too call it, get rid of the deadwood.

Sven wasn't to blame for some of the nonsense out there today. For instance Gallagher hardly delivered a decent corner all day and was lucky if he cleared the first defender.

Then there was a throw in when Nugent put his short return pass 10 yards wide of the thrower and out of play.

I also recall at least three players Mills, Danns and King getting caught in possession around the halfway line with none of them either getting a call or being given an instant passing option.

Finally there was all the personal bickering - Peltier and Mills in particular - where people were blaming each other for whatever went wrong.

Confident, properly prepared teams aren't like that. It was all so sloppy and lacking in togetheress. As if no-one gave a shit anymore. I've no idea what's gone on to cause it all but it didn't look a happy camp.

I was calling for Sven to go but you know what after sitting through the shit that has been served up at home since Peterborough I'll say I've got it wrong. Never been as uninspired as the shambles we've seen in our home games recently. 3pts out of Barnsley Ipswich posh and Pompey at home is relegation form. Pearsons increasing tactic of blaming what he inherited just shows a lack of responsibility - this season ended today make no mistake and that's not sven's fault it's the guy who increasingly is losing the respect I had for him first time round - never go back. Seems good advice tonight.

All this on the day SSL is back on the bench, just a coincidence, maybe maybe not, I wonder if will still have any chance of getting MC players on loan? I hear they have midfielder they are looking to unload who would fit in

Also if NFP cam not get this lot playing as a unit who the **** can?

The king is dead long live the king,

all this "gallagher, wellens, king and dyer were pearsons player". Yes, they were and were great under Pearson, remember the days they were competing with the midfield of newcastle and the double over blackpool and their midfield of charlie adam and david vaughan. Sven unfortunateley made them shit and now pearson has to pick up the pieces.
