broughtonblue Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 made my day !! thank you. on a seperate note if people who sit in the kop want to be seated next to the away fans then buy a ticket in the family stand its not rocket science !! If you buy an adult ticket in the family stand don't you have to have at least one child ticket as well?
FrankieADZ Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Christ, must get 1 of these threads every couple a months, As already highlighted in the thread, the away fans & the Kop are where they are for a reason, Just put the idea to bed now

Finnegan Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Anyone who saw the size of the gap between Forest's fans and ours on Tuesday should now know how close the club and the police want away fans to be to our more 'passionate' supporters. And, yes, this is possibly the most overdone topic on Foxes Talk.
Bayfox Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 I know we have had this discussion over and over again, but let's give the guy a break, having suggested it 4 years ago, is not the same as going to the top, and speaking to Top, maybe if you explained the reasons why and how you felt it could work, I don't see the cells as an excuse, However I do accept you may have to fence of the away exits outside, such as at Cardiff for Example. I for one would gladly move, I don't want to go in L1 but would be happy to swap one end of the ground for the other. As for the issue with number of seats etc, I would suggest the Kop has plenty of empty seats at the minute and that some people wouldn't move, plus if Villa ever get the safe standing toping of the ground, it would mean they could remove the seats from the family stand, creating more capacity, all be it a small increase.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 is there no petition on this? have the supporters trust ever brought it up with Top? i know in reply to the safe standing they said they have "lots of ideas for fans" well this one has legs it would boost atmosphere and if they are planning redevelopment then someone needs to think about this option to me it would be cheaper than safe standing and it would boost atmosphere quicker

Burmesefox Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 If you buy an adult ticket in the family stand don't you have to have at least one child ticket as well? Nope - bloke that sits next to me in the family is on his own - his kid now has a saturday job and he likes where he sits. Few old faces from the BS also like it in the family as near the away fans and their matre have kids.
Harborough casual Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Move to Block N (family stand) most people in there choose to be in there because of where it is, next to the away fans. most familys stay away from block N. iv never seen any trouble in there but just great banter between both sets of fans. City will NEVER move the kop, so if you want to be near the away fans move to block N, it could become the new L1.

liamsm Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Lets get a petition or something to get the Kop next to the away fans it would bring the place to life the atmosphere would be great well better then it is now im sure if we wrote to the owners then they might conisder it and the KP might be a hard place to come again beacuse at the moment its got reputation for being so quiet LETS DO IT This subject again!!!!!! ok why dont you just go and sit in P section with a few others that make a noise, no need for a petition
liamsm Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Last night because L1 was closed we ended up with some of them in the family stand. Now whilst I have no problem with L1 whatsoever, coming into the family stand swearing, drinking bottles of beer, standing up in front of little kids and generally acting like twerps is not on in the family stand. The poor bloke next to me had five kids with him that were getting pissed on the beer fumes and shocked by the language. I hope we don't see a repeat at the Swindon game, we moved from our season ticket seats with my boy as there was spare seats elsewhere and I wasn't up for causing a scene that the stewards would not back up, but it's not nice when there are young kids around. If they want to swap the Kop it's fine by me, but please give us warning so we can do one first! I suggest if you dont want kids to hear swearing you find summat else to watch, perhaps subbetteo
liamsm Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 If you buy an adult ticket in the family stand don't you have to have at least one child ticket as well? Aint it free for under 8's? if so you say your taking a 6year old
m00nie Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 I suggest if you dont want kids to hear swearing you find summat else to watch, perhaps subbetteo was he just talking about swearing?? No..
liamsm Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 was he just talking about swearing?? No.. I didn't mention the beer as i sit/stand in L1 and aint seen fans with beer in their seats, as the stewards at the top of the stairs wont let them bring beer off the concourse. Now go and m00nie somewhere else and give the women a laugh at what you aint got
lcfcadam Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 On an unrelated note some fat steward(ess) at the front of the Kop / East Stand corner told me to "watch my language" the other day after Barnsley's second. The cunting cheek!
