I was really down in the dumps after the Barnsley game when there was a lack of effort, cohesion and spirit. And this was a continuation of the downward spiral after Pompey and Ipswich. But what a transformation. Virtually the same players have given two very uplifting performances against that Nottingham lot and Soton. I reckon Pearson told them after Barnsley - improve or you are out! The transformation is remarkable. Danns has really added some bite to the midfield and SSL was brilliant. After last night, play him on the wing - what a superb bit of skill for the Mills goal!!!( I jest) Keep it up lads, I feel so much better for that.

Burbage Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Ha Ha me too I was so fed up after Barnsley but the last 2 performances have really perked me up. As I have mentioned before, despite living in Burbage I work most of the week in London surrounded by WHU fans and after Barnsley they were all taking the P**S leaving the match reports on my desk and my I love LCFC mug next to it, but low and behold after last night I walked in this morning to applause as we had kept them top!!! a proud moment to be applauded by WHU boys they have all made my tea and brought me Starbucks all day!! amazing what 2 great performances can do to a grown man :chant:

Yeah, we have had some bad performances/results under him since his return, but, he has walked into a squad which is unbalanced. Once he get's rid of the deadwood (ie Ball) and bring in his own players (ie Drinkwater), we will be ok. Have faith in him, but, give him time to get it right.
mrmagoomc4 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 last 2 games have really given lcfc fans/players a real lift nugent,ssl,pelts were trading msgs on twitter till small hours saying mostly can not sleep due to win over the saints which shows some sort of team spirit between 3 of our players i only hope its infectous for the rest of them as winning teams need a to fight for each other attitude on the pitch etc,,,,was really impressed how we shut the saints out yet looked good going forward at same time reminded me of mon and the team he created loads of closing down and good attacking play which is no different to how barca play

Matt Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Feeling more positive, we look like a team, but we as fans and them as players need to keep focused, grounded and realistic, and until we get a run of good performances and results (And by run I mean more than 2 games) or conquer our fear of something called consistancy we won't be going anywhere fast. The last two games are promising and positive, let's take nothing away from the lads for that but we've had far too many false dawns in the past to fool me again.

Same principle but pearsons an animal has already started shipping people out which is good. Were on the right path now we have won 2 on the trott lets get behind them again sing our hearts out at the kp and give the team an extra player!!! Never know may even nudge a play off

Some people are unable to critisise performances of the players and manager without going over the top.
Finnegan Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Nothing 'deluded' about criticising the management and team after Barnsley. We were worryingly bad. The jury is still very much out, but if we keep up this level of performance and run with it then the future is bright.
