broughtonblue Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Loads of threads recently about the lack of atmosphere at the kp, got to say that the last 10 mins or so was the best I have heard for a while, why can't we produce this every game?
Yojoe36 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 It was good with the scarves and the "that's how we like it" chant. Dunno the 'proper' name of it.

HEGGSY Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Although the "we love you" isn't original it created a better atmosphere as it was going continuously. It sounded quite good actually.

Stand UP... Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 We are all crying out for a an amazing atmosphere, if we can bring 8000 away to forest it shows we have the grounds for an electric atmosphere. Its been tried and tested with the Fosse Boys, which i was part of but didnt take off as most people would prefer to sit on there arses and slag the team off for 90 minutes. Even when the Fosse Boys tried we were constanly bombarded against stewards and restrictions and health and safety..and even our own fans.....for trying to sing and support our own team. We may have been small numbers but we tried and was quiet loud and were certainly the only people in the kop singing.
Dan Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Tonight could be the start of something noise-wise but I'm not holding my breath, I've often said that then been left disappointed when it's been shit the next game. Fingers crossed though, last 10 mins tonight was up there with the best at that ground.

Well it's not hard to be the only people singing in the kop, you could hear a pin drop. I'll never understand why Fosse boys picked the furtherst point away from the away fans to try create noise?

Good thing is our next home game is a biggy against Cardiff and if we get a positive result at Brighton Saturday hopefully we'll have more of the same!

superfpfp_lcfc Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Prettty amazing atmospheree tonight ! .. I wonder how much the referee had to do with it, got a few people of their seats !! for anyone that wasn't there, this is an example to what it was likee ! ( ours was muchhh better obviously)
KFS Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Well it's not hard to be the only people singing in the kop, you could hear a pin drop. I'll never understand why Fosse boys picked the furtherst point away from the away fans to try create noise? Because their aim was to show the club that they weren't there to cause trouble. The thing is, the British fan culture is lacking in humility. Everyone cares too much about making an arse out of themselves these days. In my eyes, if you can start a chant which is appealing to all members of the KP, you'll win this everlasting battle against silence. However, we have such a diverse crowd that it's seemingly impossible to do so. Edit: damn you autocorrect!
jonlcfc1990 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 The Kop has become the resting place of all the Moany old idiots who sit with a tartan blanket over there knees with a hip flask and a programme only waking up every now and then to remind us of how rubbish the atmosphere is here and how it's not filbert street. We are never going back! The ground is gone the memories live on but lets make new memories and experiences for our future foxes to remember! If we don't start the atmosphere soon it never will get going and then we turn into Birmingham.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 scared of away fans? yep, that must be it.
blueharmie Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 yep, that must be it. ran out of lamp post round harborough to stick your stickers on?! seriously why not just sit in K and join in, you didnt have to form a splinter cell
anotherharboroughfox Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 ran out of lamp post round harborough to stick your stickers on?! seriously why not just sit in K and join in, you didnt have to form a splinter cell Yes unfortunately. I prefer to stand. And that area is not my type of 'support' i.e 'who are ya?' or any of that 'banter'. I'd rather sing songs that get behind the team.

I'll never understand why Fosse boys picked the furtherst point away from the away fans to try create noise? they picked that position as it was the most were there were empy seats in hopeness that it would give like mindness fans to join us and make something of it and dream wise take over the kop, which obviously never happened.

Sad to here this but there are plenty of seats free family stand side no? then L K and said Fosse boys would corner the away fans and there would be a good voice I happen to think the family stand is better than the Kop young fun kids emotional parents all supporting city GIVE them a scarf and theyll wave it till their arms fall off
Stand UP... Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Sad to here this but there are plenty of seats free family stand side no? then L K and said Fosse boys would corner the away fans and there would be a good voice I happen to think the family stand is better than the Kop young fun kids emotional parents all supporting city GIVE them a scarf and theyll wave it till their arms fall off Thanks for your empathy but the whole point of atmosphere generates from the kop, not sure if you were there in filbert street days but that was atmosphere was all about and we used to take the piss out of the east stand, and now its the east stand that create the only atmosphere in the ground!, how times change. Respect to the family stand tonight though for joining in.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Want my opinion? Sat in SK1 For both FA Cup games i remember Filbert street. The KOP At the KP is dead it's going to take a lot more to bring it back than chanting the whole atmosphere down that end is just wrong. First half in L and K i thought some Boo boys had crept in but we turned the atmosphere around. Tonight showed that if we give 100% the players will and this season might just end well or atleast loud!
The Doctor Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Sad to here this but there are plenty of seats free family stand side no? then L K and said Fosse boys would corner the away fans and there would be a good voice I happen to think the family stand is better than the Kop young fun kids emotional parents all supporting city GIVE them a scarf and theyll wave it till their arms fall off There are, but going in the family stand sort of defeats the object of trying to get atmosphere into the kop doesn't it?
burni Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 That chant sounds beastly! would be a good one to pull out on away days who cares if its not original, noise is all that matters. doing that for half a game would soon change anyone doubting the 'get behind the teamness'
paddy Agyemang Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Keep this tune and play it all the time " we love you"
