grth2004 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Rupert Murdoch has told staff at the Sun newspaper in London he will launch the Sun on Sunday tabloid "very sooon" I must admit i personally miss the news of the world just for the football reports on a sunday there still is no paper that beats it so hopefully the sun on sunday will take all the good bits from the news of the world and not the hacking crap.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 This could be up there with the biggest non shock of 2012 Why else would he can NOTW so so predictable
Guest Bilo Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I wouldn't expect anything wildly different from the Saturday version of The Sun. Getting rid of the NOTW was after all a cost cutting exercise rather than a moral one, Murdoch had been looking for an excuse to ditch the expensive practice of having a Sunday weekly for years anyway.
Captain... Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 May I launch a bullet to his head ? Yes you can, preferably from a high powered gun, please also feel free to use a silver bullet, blessed by preists of all faiths and dipped in a vial containing the smallpox and rabies viruses first, you know, just to be certain.
Jay Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I still can't believe people are buying this crap after the revelations of the last year and not using alternative media for news and information
FoxesAreBlue Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I still can't believe people are buying this crap after the revelations of the last year and not using alternative media for news and information Because most of the people who read this shite have the mental depth to rival that of a teaspoon
davieG Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 http://newsthump.com...doch-on-sunday/ James Murdoch rejoins News International as James Murdoch on Sunday After quitting his role as executive chairman of News International yesterday, James Murdoch has today rejoined the organisation in exactly the same capacity, but under the new name of James Murdoch on Sunday. He will continue to oversee the operations of the discredited media empire, but due to his name change is now totally dissociated from the massive web of phone-hacking and corruption that led to his resignation. James Murdoch on Sunday said this morning, “If you look back through history then you will see a number of things that have benefited from a name change. “Oil of Ulay, Jif, Opal Fruits, Marathon, Heather Mills, the list goes on.” James Murdoch on Sunday then went on to say that James Murdoch on Sunday is also not responsible for anything that James Murdoch may have said at the parliamentary hearings, particularly anything that might turn out not to be true. In fact, especially those bits. Prime Minister David Cameron welcomed the reappointment, saying, “Everyone deserves a second chance, and given the new Sun on Sunday’s healthy sales figures, people not only have an amazing appetite for salacious gossip and teenage breasts, they also have very short memories.” Cameron then went on to unveil his new press secretary, Andy Joulson.
Mr B Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Finally something to read on a Sunday again, been waiting for this.
Guest MattP Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Do people over the age of 21 actually read the Sun?
Captain... Posted 2 March 2012 Posted 2 March 2012 I normally get to page 3 and then have to use the rest of it to mop up, they really should make it more absorbant, I can normally save the sport section depends how full the reserves are.
