The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Spent your £250 yet lad? Not yet! Shitting it the whole of the second half!
smudger63 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 It really does my head in when people go on about the "classic chants" and the "traditional Leicester chants".....the fact is the majority, not all but the MAJORITY of the vocal following now are like me in their early 20s/late teens and we are creating a new repertoire of songs. In all respect the old guard didn't do a very good job of passing on the torch so a lot of the old songs we don't know except a few obvious 1s and now we are creating a new generation of Leicester songs. If you don't like it your well entitled to start belting out the old classics in the Kop..................oh wait did someone just cough in the kop.............WOW first bit of piping up all season from you lot. In fairness to us oldies, the move from filbert street to the walkers didn`t help in that respect.Everyone who went in the kop at filbert street tended to go in there because they wanted to sing and have some banter. When we moved, there were, and still is quite alot of fans that have gone in there because the tickets are cheaper, and they knew they would still be getting a good view of the game, but didn`t want to sing and stand. That has meant that across the kop there are pockets of singers, rather than everyone together, like in the old days. The oldies do try to get old chants going in the kop but quite often in the kop, there are 2 or even 3 different songs going on at the same time. I suppose what the "we love you" song has done, has made it easy to all sing the same song, at pretty much the same time. To be honest, while i`m not the biggest fan of the new continental style of songs, they are certainly bringing some much better atmosphere to the games, and i`m all for that. The Hull fan who is moaning about the atmosphere at the stadium does have a point about us playing music after we score, i have always hated that, and wish they would stop. As for the scarf twirling he was moaning about, well i seen that for the first time back in 1976, when Man United fans were doing it to ka sara sara, at filbert street, the week before their FA Cup final with Southampton, and so has been around longer than he thinks.
broughtonblue Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 i genuinely can't believe that you wrote this sentence. Why?
flowwolf Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Why doesn't someone write to Burt Bacharach or Paul Mc Cartney for a song just for us ? I've heard they are quite good at it. I would myself but I don't know their address and can't spell properly anyway.
Simmo86 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 We all know goal music is shit but atleast ours is original and we don't dance around on cue when it starts playing! To be honest I rarely remember hearing it when we score!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 How you're all not embarrassed of yourselves is quite simply beyond me. Any team or football ground that has a fat, bald b*****d smashing a drum as hard as he can for 90 minutes is just plane wrong. You all acted like he was your leader yesterday. You also Played songs after you scored your goals which is quite simply horrific, the sort of nonsense you see at ground like Scunthorpe. The crystal palace song makes my tummy churn, and then you decided to do the poznan, which is stolen from man city or indeed Leich Poznan. And then you had grown men waving their scarfs above their heads, making some sort form of bouse. I was more angry with what I was seeing around me than my teams fairly abject attacking woes. Football has turned into a commercial, soccer am shity world. You have certainly fallen victim.. WUM or retard or both?
Kitchandro Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 We all know goal music is shit but atleast ours is original and we don't dance around on cue when it starts playing! To be honest I rarely remember hearing it when we score! And lets not forget, we have no control over whether we play goal music or not so using that as something to take the piss out of our fans for is a bit pointless. I don't hear it really these days either.

To be honest I rarely remember hearing it when we score! Bang on, and the Kasabian link is great to have and a unique song no one else has. Goal music has been debated for 6 years + and accepted as not needed but its here to stay. Those Chelsea Dagger days, Jesus Christ. You like that, The City ground is North and in need of a few seat fillers so off you pop.
