ozleicester Posted 2 April 2012 Author Posted 2 April 2012 Come back when you have won something. See you in a few weeks Or meet you in the final..ohh, wait, no we wont will we, you didnt make it.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I grew up with term soccer being used rather than football. ( Association Football, Rugby Football ), so when did it change. The truth is, it never officially did, but just eroded into a generalisation. I weekly magazine I bought was called "Soccer Star" It was bloody good too.
OzFox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 See you in a few weeks Or meet you in the final..ohh, wait, no we wont will we, you didnt make it. Any thoughts on yesterday Glory fan? I've gotta say, I thought it was a penalty, although a soft one. Miller clearly flicked out at Berisha and tried to bring him down. Also telling was Miller's initial reaction when the penalty was given...just turned around and walked away. I reckon he knew he'd made contact. What's sad is the usual hysterical media reaction. All the AFL and rugger buggers (journos & fans) coming out of the woodwork saying soccer is a game for cheats and divers. I really despair for sport in this country sometimes.

No penalty! end of, full stop. Player has nose broken and 50 stitches, and offender gets a yellow? 4 minutes of injury time... penalty awarded in 95th minute Referee is dating Roar head of media then... THEN... they award the man of the match award to a Roar player.....only to realise they had "made a mistake" and it was supposed to be awarded to Glory's Jacob Burns. A more cynical man would question the legitimacy of this result. CVNTS!!!

Didn't know that about the ref's dating arrangements I still reckon Miller clips his left leg just as he's about to plant it. Even with my limited ability, I know there's nothing worse than being ankle tapped just as you're about to shoot. Mind you, doesn't excuse Berisha going down like a sack of spuds and then running around as though he's already scored the winner. Dickhead.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Wasn't a Peno ruined what was an otherwise intreguing game. Crowd was amazing!
OzFox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Wasn't a Peno ruined what was an otherwise intreguing game. Crowd was amazing! I wish some of those "fans" would turn up during the regular season. They averaged 13,000 I think
ozleicester Posted 23 April 2012 Author Posted 23 April 2012 Crowd was superb 53,000 is a great result, really disapointing that all that will get talked about is diving and "soccer" being unable to organise a root in a whorehouse. Millers toe touched his foot, but he just had an air swing and swung himself off balance. Disgusting decision, didnt ask Lino...was out of position, shambles. Thought you might say something like that. Didn't know that about the ref's dating arrangements I still reckon Miller clips his left leg just as he's about to plant it. OzFox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Game changing injury, our main threat effectivley out of the game http://au.news.yahoo...t-hardest-game/ Nice. But what's that white powder up his nose? No wonder he scores so many goals
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Nice. But what's that white powder up his nose? No wonder he scores so many goals Hahaha. That's part of the reason they have a GF generates interest and money.
Webbo Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 If you're going to discuss actual matches could you put this in general sport please?

OzFox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 If you're going to discuss actual matches could you put this in general sport please? Please God no. Don't lump us in with that silly MLS thread! Still think it was a penalty...
ozleicester Posted 23 April 2012 Author Posted 23 April 2012 Please God no. Don't lump us in with that silly MLS thread! Still think it was a penalty... pffftttttttttt, have you actually watched the replay.. im not even sure his TOE touched him?
OzFox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 pffftttttttttt, have you actually watched the replay.. im not even sure his TOE touched him? It was all explained on SBS tonight by those nice men Foz and Drilic. Miller caught Berisha's left calf, making his left foot clip the back of the ball resulting in an air shot. Think about it, would you dive if you had a clear chance to bury it six yards out? I appreciate this is a painful time for you, but I think the ref made the right call. No doubt followed by a call to his girlfriend in the Roar press box
jasonpat Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 In the down under there are some kind of different soccer rules,
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Who cares Ange Posticoglu has quit the roar after winning his 2nd titile in 2 years and is heading to the Victrory

I neglected to mention that the REFEREE, is a QUEENSLANDER, i mean cmon, surely there is one person in Sydney and Melb who could be trusted to not cheat like that fvcker did
