Exactly. the job of a football manager is to recruit the players he wants. He sells the club to them, he sells himself, he sells his coaching methods, his team, he sells the dream..... can you really imagine NP selling a dream???

Deary me, are you having a laugh. You think the parent clubs don't get a say in the matter? What the feck has selling the dream got to do with anything if it's a decision made by the other club rather than the player.

There are a million on one reasons why a deal might not happen, but you seem unable to move away from it being Pearsons fault because he's not selling the dream. Maybe it was, maybe it, wasn't but you can't go around bashing people for something that could quite easily be explained in another way.

I thought the buck stopped with the manager .... that's why they manage, that's why they get paid well for doing it. You keep defending Pearson whatever happens Babs, I'm just interested to know at what point you'll stop??

Give the man a full season for fvcks sake.

Surely if anyone thinks NP deserves a whole season they would agree that Sven also deserved a whole season not 12 games or whatever it was of this season and if things aren't looking pukka then get rid.... for all the people who weren't happy with Sven there's an equal number of people not happy with Pearson but what is the difference except for people being fickle, which the majority of Leicester fans are.

You're making no sense, we had injuries after the Blackpool game (Wednesday), we tried to get players in on the Thursday (the day the window closed) but didn't manage to in time. The manager doesn't send out bids, construct contracts, handle paperwork, decide the figures, accept offers on other clubs behalf, decide if players are interested or do a million other things to do with signing a player. So how the hell can you sit there and make outlandish statements about it categorically being his fault because he's the manager?

It makes your argument look weak and ill thought out, and will most definitely distract from any good points you might make. As I don't see how anyone could actually take what you are saying seriously.

I'm not defending him whatever happens, but I will defend the manager against people who spout lies, base their arguments on rumours, and people don't seem capable of taking on board rather simple mitigating circumstances.

Nonsense. Nige can do no wrong in your eyes where Sven could do no right. Truth is there is little between them performance wise so you are starting to sound a bit daft. Nige was a gamble by Top and Papa that didn't work (Assuming that they weren't building for next season when they got Nige in).

You spent a lot of time wanting the Sven bummers to admit they were wrong but it seems the Nige bummers are in denial

Christ... And you accuse me of over-egging the pudding on a particular topic!

How many times have you posted over the past few pages? And it's all to defend an argument.

Funny that, that's what I was doing too

Well considering I was one of the people defending Sven (as I am Pesrson), it kind of blows your point totally out of the water.

Ask Col City, CC Star, Kitchando and others if I agreed with their detest of Sven last year. Or whether I asked them to give him time so we could see what he was capable of.

As with Sven I will argue with the idiots who slate someone for no good reason.

Babylon, are you my ex missus?? You're starting to argue with the same logic and refusal to see any fair points like she did!

So you think it's fair to blame the manager for not getting players in with one day to spare. And think it's fair to overlook the role of other clubs and other people at our club that could well have contributed to said failure.

Your girlfriend clearly has logic, something that I'm sad to say I can't say about your posts.

My point is not the defence of NP, but the vehemence of it. Something about having a bee in your bonnet...?

I applaud you to be fair for your 'passion' when making what you consider are important points ( most of which I agree with).

But don't have a pop at me for doing actually the same thing too. Cos I'm also passionate about the points I make. And the club.

A bee in my bonnet? Yes I have, nothing to do with Pearson really. I prefer people to actually using accurate information if they are going to blast someone and call for their head.

Just as it was when people crucified Sven, people take rumour and incorrect information and use it to slate the manager. Whether it's Pearson, Sven or anyone else it's something that I find annoying and unacceptable.

If you don't know there has been a falling out with loads of players, or the reasons, how can you use it as one of your reasons for sacking the manager. To me it just defies logic. Discuss it, keep your eye on it, ask questions about it... but lets not start stating these things as fact which many seem to.

I don't think I'm as bad as you... yet. ;)

Agree with you, but i still believe sven should have had a full season.

Sven did deserve a whole season, but he's not at Leicester City any more, now we need to give Pearson that chance and a full season to get things right, he has done it before so why are so many people, so sure he can't do it again?

It's called foresight Baylon. Good managers have it. Poor ones don't.

When you let 3 or 4 centre mids go and you have 2 injured, and you are down to the last two at the club then it doesn't take a genius to act then. NP waited til one of those two was suspended and then was surprised ...And you are defending that!!!!!!!

It's definitely fair to say that good managers don't make excuses they make things happen.

That's what's happening ..... you see any question which appears to criticise NP as something to jump on as a problem to extinguish on his behalf ... not something to discuss!

What part about the transfer window closing the day after the Blackpool game do you not understand. Prior to Blackpool we had 3 perfectly fit and not suspended central midfielders, with Andy King returning in the next week or so. If you are asking for managers to bring in players just in case you pick up two or three injuries suspensions in the same position at the same time it's ridiculous.

If you can read that's about people being judge jury and executioner regarding his "bust ups". Nothing to do with what we're discussing.

Right, so if Pearson gets a player lined up, he's happy to sign, everything is agreed until the last minute and someone fails to send something off on time. Or the parent club pulls the plug because of an injury, that's all the mangers fault is it? You're purposely being ridiculous.
