Cecchini1976 Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I don't think Pearson is the man for the job, but don't want us to sack another manager. The owners have a big call to make, but has Pearson done himself any favours with a shocking points return in a period we had to win games in? He gets paid to win games and when it matters(last 6 games) he has failed
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Someone needs to tell Leeds, Millwall, Blackpool, Birmingham, West Ham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Burnley, Bristol City, Palace, Hull, Boro, Barnsley, Doncaster and probably Brighton and Peterborough that they need to sack their manager.
Cecchini1976 Posted 1 April 2012 Author Posted 1 April 2012 Someone needs to tell Leeds, Millwall, Blackpool, Birmingham, West Ham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Burnley, Bristol City, Palace, Hull, Boro, Barnsley, Doncaster and probably Brighton and Peterborough that they need to sack their manager. So you are happy with our season then?? I don't care what other teams do, just Leicester. Imagine how bad the table would look if the teams you mentioned did not perform badly in this time. Oh and most of the teams you have mentioned are in the play off shake up
Cecchini1976 Posted 1 April 2012 Author Posted 1 April 2012 8 points from 18* No 5, lost to P'boro, Bristol, Reading , drew with Forest & Blackpool and beat Hull
seenitall Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I thought Leeds just did? Hull may well do if they miss promotion, Blackpool will keep Olly, especially after yesterday, Why would Hughton orAllerdyce have to go, they are doing a fine job of seriously challenging to get in the Premier - you don't half talk crap in defence of Nige sometimes - just accept it is trash at the moment will you - the owners gambled on sacking the previous manager and failed miserably - because they have no football knowledge at all. I know you love them unconditionally but surely you must see that they are useless and have squandered this season for nothing?
FrankieADZ Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I know Pearson has to shoulder some of this "BLAME" I keep hearing about...but we have consider he didnt buy a few of these players(Only Danns is 1 i know Pearson was after at Hull) didnt have the summer to in print his ideas on the squad. oh wasnt we 3rd in the form charts before yesterday results aswell? Dam...also money doesnt mean we are signing quality players aswell...look at Akinbiyi ffs....or Torres at Chelsea atm. When Pearson said some of our fans have "delusions of grandeur" I sodding well agree with him.
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 No 5, lost to P'boro, Bristol, Reading , drew with Forest & Blackpool and beat Hull I suppose the Birmingham game has been wiped from the history books then, if you are going to start spouting shite at least try and get your facts correct.
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 So you are happy with our season then?? Oh so you want to talk about the whole season now and not just the last 18 points available. Perhaps you should have said, or posted in one of the other threads already debating that. You didn't though, you are talking about the last 18 points and all those teams mentioned except for two got the same or less points. Imagine how bad the table would look if the teams you mentioned did not perform badly in this time. But they didn't and up until yesterday we were 3rd in the form charts over the last 8 games. You want a sack a manager because of what didn't happen? Oh and most of the teams you have mentioned are in the play off shake up And... in your own words "they get paid to win games and when it matters (last 6 games) they have failed"
seenitall Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Frankie - Contradictions abound in your post there............ if delusions of grandeur is wanting your team team from the 10th biggest city in England to be in the league of the top 20 clubs, then yes City fans are guilty as charged. Using Aknibiyi or Torres to support your money = rubbish argument is thin as well. Supporting a team with lower league, poorly paid no name players and with no ambition is possible but you probably need to follow someone like Kettering. I want to support Leicester and I want us to have big name players here - whether we buy them cheap and cultivate them (a skill very few managers have) or buy them expensively I don't care. We do need a manager who can handle them (doubts over Nige here) and motivate them as a team (again, 'sorry Nige' at the moment). I think it is quite rare for a manager who has been at a club less than three or four years to have only players that he has bought/raised himself and so managing the players you take over is a big part of the job - you can either do it or you can't.................
paulsherwood1 Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I can never understand the " it`s not his team" arguement. I work in a Leadership management role, and have had many different teams of people work for me. I don`t go in an dismiss everyone when I start with a new team, nor do I blame the previous team leader. It`s about my Leadership skills and my ability to develop and motivate people. These players are plenty good enough, its upto NP to get the best out of them and create a winning mentality. Something he has failed to do.
Cecchini1976 Posted 1 April 2012 Author Posted 1 April 2012 I suppose the Birmingham game has been wiped from the history books then, if you are going to start spouting shite at least try and get your facts correct. Forgot the Birmingham 1 my bag sorry 8 from 21 points quality return. Spouting shit? You can have your opinion, u won't call it shite. Football has changed to much, might just give up on it. Never thought I would see the day when LCFC fans are happy with under performing from a squad of players that should be challenging for promotion let alone play offs. I know let's blame the players, cause they are the wins who pick the team and tactics, how dare we say something about Pearson, he won Division 3 you know, it's all Scens fault, oh no it's the owners, why oh why have they thrown money at this club. End of the day Pearson came back fully knowing he had to take us to the play offs at worse, he has not done this, he has failed & in football it's the manager who takes responsibility not the players. If Pearson stays I will support him and want him to succeed, just don't believe he can do it as he can't manage people
Guest Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Someone needs to tell Leeds, Millwall, Blackpool, Birmingham, West Ham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Burnley, Bristol City, Palace, Hull, Boro, Barnsley, Doncaster and probably Brighton and Peterborough that they need to sack their manager. I admire you passion and defence of NP but 8 from 18 during the last six games when he has told us how we are still in the hunt is not good enough. 14 from 18 and we'd all be happy little bunnies who loved each other. Only 3 teams get promoted so it's quite foreseeable that 16 teams (the number that you listed) are going to be unsatisfied with their performance and manager.
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I thought Leeds just did? I know you love them unconditionally but surely you must see that they are useless and have squandered this season for nothing? Can you read? The thread clearly states the last 18 points and the OP can't even get his facts correct. you don't half talk crap in defence of Nige sometimes Care to point out what exactly, because coming from the master of crap talk that's quite laughable. just accept it is trash at the moment will you I'll accept it as what it is, average. Just the same as it was under Sven, but under a manager whose has one third the time and a fraction of the money your favourite Sven had. Why are you trying to make it out to be anything different? I know you love them unconditionally but surely you must see that they are useless and have squandered this season for nothing? Once again, posting utter crap. Care to explain how exactly you come to that conclusion? The season was squandered when Sven signed the players he did. The owners are at fault, Sven is at fault and Pearson is at fault. But out of the lot of them Pearson has had less time to sort it out.
Fox92 Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 So you are happy with our season then?? Nobody is happy with the season, but it can't be all blamed on Nigel. He wasn't here in the summer to get rid of players and bring players in, his own players. You may argue that most of the starting 11 are players he brought, but when he was at Hull in the summer he wanted one of those players at that is Danns. Give him time and he'll sort it out. Calling for the manager after every defeat is getting boring now. Look what he did at Hull, he took time to get rid of players and bring his own in, clear the debt at the club and now look at his team, because it isn't Barmby's.
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Forgot the Birmingham 1 my bag sorry 8 from 21 points quality return. Oh right, so you forgot that game and now you will change the number of games to suit your argument. Nice one. Football has changed to much, might just give up on it. Never thought I would see the day when LCFC fans are happy with under performing from a squad of players that should be challenging for promotion let alone play offs. Who is happy? Who has posted that they are happy? And what do you base the argument that we should be challenging for promotion on. Read through the threads from yesterday. Most of the players we signed were from poor to average clubs with not track record or promotion or even the playoffs. I know let's blame the players, cause they are the wins who pick the team and tactics, how dare we say something about Pearson, he won Division 3 you know, it's all Scens fault, oh no it's the owners, why oh why have they thrown money at this club. No it's all of their fault, but as already stated our current manager has been here about a third of the time Sven was and not spent anything like he did. It's still essentially his team, and it was average under him also. End of the day Pearson came back fully knowing he had to take us to the play offs at worse, he has not done this, he has failed & in football it's the manager who takes responsibility not the players. Says who? Do you know what the owners actually told him?
Cecchini1976 Posted 1 April 2012 Author Posted 1 April 2012 So what your saying Babylon is that you are happy with our recent form and it's Svens fault, I'm sure when Sven left we were in a better position to make the play offs, and all your messiah had done is piss half the players off. The manager shoulders the blame if things are not going well. All LCFC wand want him to succeed, nobody want's him to not to achieve his goals, but he came to the club knowing what he had to do an has not done it, if you believe he has done a good job, that's fine. But I think he has done a very bad job
Cecchini1976 Posted 1 April 2012 Author Posted 1 April 2012 Oh right, so you forgot that game and now you will change the number of games to suit your argument. Nice one. Who is happy? Guest Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Enough of the "not his team" argument. He came here knowing the players on the squad, he had a chance to make some adjustments. He failed. That doesn't mean he should be sacked but it doesmean that the situation should be reflected upon. If we can get better then we should make a change, if not we stay with the same.
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 So what your saying Babylon is that you are happy with our recent form and it's Svens fault Do you understand the English language, because I have serious doubts. Please show me where I have said I am happy, I would really love you to. And no it's not all of Svens fault, of course Pearson shoulders responsibility. But on the flip side can you not see that you also need to lay the blame at Svens door. This is mostly his failing team, that he had for over a year and spent £20m on. How can things all be the current managers fault? I'm sure when Sven left we were in a better position to make the play offs Incorrect. and all your messiah had done is piss half the players off. Firstly he's not my messiah. I have no loyalty to the bloke, but I will stand up for him against idiots. A manager deserves a proper chance. And until he's had a summer and a year in charge like Sven he's not had that chance. Oh really, who is that then? Matt Mills, captain fantastic who has mostly been average. Who we were warned by reading fans was a nob head. People keep laying the blame at the door of Pearson, why don't people wonder what these players may have done or not done as the case may be. As for fallings out with anyone else it's all speculation, SSL is still in the team and nobody seems able to say what happened with Beckford yesterday. but he came to the club knowing what he had to do an has not done it, if you believe he has done a good job, that's fine. But I think he has done a very bad job Who said he did a good job, for christs sake will you actually read peoples posts and take in what they are saying. Please explain how it's been a very bad job, because it's just been a very average job so far. A very bad job is spending £20m+ over a year and still being midtable.
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Enough of the "not his team" argument. He came here knowing the players on the squad, he had a chance to make some adjustments. He failed. No, people won't quit using that fact. Having a difficult January window is nothing like having a summer. People will keep mentioning until people start taking on board that this is mostly someone elses team. Whether he knew the squad or not has nothing to do with it. We thought we knew the squad, the bookies thought they knew the squad and everyone has been massively wrong.

All you do is insult people, I can't take anything you say seriously. You don't know me, it's easy typing insults mate. Oh & Sven only built the team in the summer, all loans last year, and how many points off auto's was he? What about the play offs?
Babylon Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 All you do is insult people No, all I do is insult people who a) make things up (as you have done) b) start threads without researching their information (as you have done) c) continuously post incorrect information (as you have done). I can't take anything you say seriously. You can trust me, that the feeling is very mutual. You don't know me, it's easy typing insults mate. I know you on here, and you keep posting stuff that isn't true. So you aren't leaving me with much choice in the way I view you. Oh & Sven only built the team in the summer, all loans last year Well perhaps Sven should have tried to buy some players in January then. People keep saying Pearson has had time in January to shape the team, Sven should have started that process then shouldn't he. Rather than leaving it to the summer and expecting a dozen players to bed in instantly. and how many points off auto's was he? What about the play offs? 2 and in 14th place... if he kept up his ppg ratio we'd be in pretty much an identical position as we are now.
