Who are you his press officer? Its called an opinion princess...

His hold up play is non existent, his goal scoring prowess is non existent and hes too slow, not to mention his age, injury record in recent years AND the wages he'll demand...

Nuge, Vas, Schlupp, Waggy and even Becks have more to offer both in goals and build up play!

yes, I am his press officer, father, mother, agent, part time lover. See previous posts, his hold up play for Villa in the PREMIER LEAGUE has been pretty good, I believe you are basing your opinion on papers and MOTD, therefore your opinion is worng. I have been to Villa park 4/5 times this season. and its only princess on the weekends

NO to Heskey.... Not Now - Not Ever Again

Heskey was always ridiculously over rated. We got seriously ripped off by Everton for Sir Gary many years ago just as we dd the same to Liverpuuul for Heskey. Surely not even Pearson is that gulliible.

go support Derby you moron, how can you say that of a LCFC legend.... seriously have a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and see if you like what is staring back...

I'm a Leicester fan so I tend to spend my hard earned at the KP! Some interesting facts for you:

In his BEST season for city he scored 1 in 4

In his prime in his second season for the scousers he managed 1 in 2 and a bit.

Lately he manages 1 in 6 - in a nutshell even if he returns to his previous form for Leicester were looking at a similar return that Becks gave us this season IF he can remain fit!

You can spout all of the stats that you like, but can you provide stats that show how often he creates valuable space for his strike partner ? The flick ons that he wins, the amount of free kicks he wins in dangerous positions, I have never doubted his inability to score, but it seems strange that 4 england managers and numerous prem managers have wanted him in their sides, and to think, he wouldnt be good enough for a championship team that finished 9th... villa sometimes play on a sunday / tuesday when LCFC don't have a game you know. My word you are embarrasing yourself with a distinct lack of knowledge. Heskey has played 26 games this season, hardly a Darren Anderton / Owen Hargreaves record.

Obviously im wrong and your right remind me of his last outing for England... Were not talking about the same Heskey in his prime were talking about the comic version of himself hes become!

Brilliant comment on the stats though that's all we need Heskey rolling round the floor 'winning free kicks' who IF he can change his last ten years form gets 8 or 9 from a 40 plus season....

Im an embarresment for wanting a 15+ goals a season from a second striker... Do us all a favour spend a few more Saturdays at the Holte end!

Good one, as I said before you are basing your facts on premier league football, not championship football. Why are you still banging on about premier league stats? Are you simple? Your arguement is flawed because you are too blind to see that you are arguing about 2 different leagues. I will be visiting the Holte end again, it allows me to think far more rationally and have far more indepth knowledge to you on footballing matters, ohh and wasnt Heskey a scorer in the WC ? Bore off with your views, as I said before, I think you have embarrassed yourself enough with your lack of knowledge. I am just glad that not all LCFC fans are so clueless.

You know he's not near the England squad any more right? And he's played 26 games and scored 1 goal. Great return.

How come you watch Villa so much anyway?

I live in Birmingham, and I go and watch Heskey. Of course I know he isnt in the england squad. Please read the posts, I am not saying he is a goalscorer, but he will bully, create space etc for our other strikers!! He is also far more mobile than Howard ever was!

Brilliant... Let's not let anything like facts or statistics get in the way of your opinion! Have a pop at me instead!... Goose!

Of course I would want Heskey back !!!

In his 1st spell here he was'nt a goal scorer other than one season at Liverpool be has never managed 20 plus but creates lots !!! Would be a great foil to all of our current forwards ...

Too even compare him to Howard is laughable!!!

There has to be no doubt that Heskey would put the fear of god into many second tier defences. He causes all sorts of problems in the Premier League and is Villa's best (only?) player at the moment. He offers a change of tactics and a presence up front that we have lost with the departure of Howard.

I'll wait for the inevitable shooting-down.

And this.

The majority of teams promoted from this league do not have 20 goal a season strikers - but instead players who create a lot of chances.

Stephen Hawking is more mobile than Steve Howard.

I think this would be wonderfull!!! How many times did we see the big man put things on a plate for Owen?

Again it would be about FFP for me.

Would Emile, as much as I'd LOVE to see him back in a city shirt, really represent value for money?

If he were here on wages of any more than 10k per week I don't think he would.

Think people are missing the point a little here. We need a player to replace Howard, someone who can hold the ball up and create chances, not a player who's going to bag us a million goals a season, Heskey could do this job and then some, even now. I don't want him back to wallow in our decent spells from years past, I want him here because I think he'd genuinely be an asset to the club.

Absolutely spot on. I think he'd serve a great sentimental value but his actual purpose would be to hold the ball up, up front and he'd be great doing that at this level.
