Guest Kopfkino Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Are people unable to read? Most of it will still happen, it's just going to take longer. I despair at people on here and what goes through their heads
sphericalfox Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Are people unable to read? Most of it will still happen, it's just going to take longer. I despair at people on here and what goes through their heads Still a u-turn on the original plans. And it going to cost more money, and undoubtedly cost more in train fares in the end, which is a great result for Network Rail in the long run, as they are probably not paying any real punitive measures for ****ing it all up, as per usual.
Fox92 Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Greater London gets higher priority. They have promised new trains for Northern Rail services too but said it could take something stupid like 30 years. It's a joke.

Wymsey Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Hate trains altogether. When it's packed, you have to smell the sweat of others, listen to their sh*t music, and the sense of that you're being touched by someone next to you.

No it's an alteration of those plans, a u turn would be completely going back and not carrying out the work. It is however good to see that you acknowledge it isn't entirely the fault of government so your party remark back in 2012 is irrelevant

They have promised new trains for Northern Rail services too but said it could take something stupid like 30 years. It's a joke. There's a company that's buying old Tube trains at the moment and converting them as a cheap alternative to buying new trains. They are the 30 yo District line trains that are currently being replaced, they plan to sling a diesel engine in it and flog them to companies like Northern Rail. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/mind-doors-manchester-commuters-could-8645131

But 30 year old? Really? This is what I'm talking about. Get fed up of sitting on old Northern Line stock.

Hows that that? Promises made in pre-elections, turn out to be bullshit shocker?
Rincewind Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 I heard they are blaming the last Liberal led government.
Lionator Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 Sounds like the sh*tty pacer trains are going to be staying in and around Sheffield. Truly awful pieces of engineering.
Rincewind Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 I have to go Sheffield to York in August so hope mines OK. Northern Trains.
