Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Congratulations to the saddest man in GB today, who became the youngest player since Seve Balesteros to win 2 majors and moved back to being ranked no. 1 in the world... and nobody noticed. Poor old Rory, got to say I feel a bit sorry for him. At any other time he'd be front and back page news, hailed as a champion of champions and a good bet for the Sports Personality of the Year. (which he doesn't stand a chance for, though I reckon he'll get nominated.)
ScouseFox Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 I watched and appreciated and congratulated him. It was a great round of golf yesterday, to shoot a -6 on the last day of a Major when you're leading and under pressure is pretty impressive. Played Rory.
Ric Flair Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Superb golf from Rory. I had £20 e/w on him at 20/1 but after the 1st round I laid half of it off to guarantee a nice return when the wind kicked in. Wish I'd left it a I'd have won over £500
Super_horns Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Heard his 2nd win was quicker than Tiger's...albeit by 4 months.
oxford blue Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Nobody noticed the runner up either. David Lynn, at 38, in his second major must also be thinking that the Olympics denied him recognition for his achievement. Additionaly, 4 of the top 6 were English which is some result!
