rossporterlc Posted 14 July 2005 Posted 14 July 2005 i would have thought that most people would, however i disagree with it being called 7/7, it seems to me that the media ar trying to compare it to 9/11, when it is massively different
lush Posted 14 July 2005 Author Posted 14 July 2005 I couldnt believe that at 11.30 today, no one here was talking about this.

Hitesh Posted 14 July 2005 Posted 14 July 2005 I didnt realise it was today until my mum rang me up bout 11.30. And thats what woke me up so i would of been asleep during it. But i did respect the 2 minutes, just had the tv on BB1 and they had pictures from around London. The whole of London stopped to respect the silence.

That is why they should be shown some respect.
Matt Posted 14 July 2005 Posted 14 July 2005 Everyone at work stopped, and we just sat outside on some boards for 5 minutes, we all respected the 2 minutes silence but most used it as an excuse to do no work with I found quite sad, I'll admit I did the 2 minutes silence but at the same time I was one who took around a 5 minute break at the same time.
Gené and Tonic Posted 14 July 2005 Posted 14 July 2005 Alton Towers stopped still, it was quite unnerving.
