Waghorn closed down a player fairly quickly, blocked the ball and as he was sliding, he couldn't stop quick enough before reaching Pearson. He half took out Pearson, kind of dislodging him in the dugout/technical area and then Pearson mounted him like a ravenous lion and the above picture was during that .

After Waghorn got up and left the scene, Pearson did a delightful little punch in the air to signal a job well done.
