Poker HUD

Does anyone on here use a HUD for online poker?

Are they worth paying for, and if so which one would be best for UK use?

I'm looking for one but they all seem to be in $'s.

Try a poker forum. I believe my brothers may use them. I did when I played but was not really good enough. I think Two Plus Two is a good forum and helpful (or is it 2 plus 4?)

Cheers Ken, I'll have a look at that place. It looks like there's plenty on there.

I'm looking for a UK HUD because the only two I've seen so far (Poker Edge and PokerTracker) you have to pay in dollars. There's nothing on Amazon UK either.

I've used poker tracker. Most games are in Dollars. You might be able to convert currency.

When I was at my brothers the other week we were playing Omaha. My brother used to play holdem for years now finds OMaha pot more interesting. I was sort of new to it just knowing the basic rules but adapted quite well. There are more flushes Full house and 4 of a kind played so three of a kind or straights may be no good.

So the dollar ones still have all the UK players on their databases?

I tried Omaha a year or two ago and learned what you say about some hands not being so good. Didn't do very well. Think I'll stick to learning more about Hold Em games for a while before I try it again.

When I played I downloaded Hold Em manager 2.

It is essential to use, to track how you play more than anything, and obviously others. Proves its worth especially in MTT's

Hold 'Em Manager 3 FTW. Works with most poker clients and is really useful if you play anywhere near regularly.

If you play more than one table at once, I find a poker HUD is practically obligatory to keep track of the other players betting habits. Also keeping track of your own profits/losses is essential.

I play MTT's (got 3rd in a 220 player freeroll the other night - best finish in the 75 games I've had since starting up again) that's why I want one mainly. Do you get to see what cards people folded after the event, or is it like normal where you only get to see cards that get shown at the table? Wondering because I saw a video where a guy was analysing hands that people had not shown.

On a side note, I'm playing in a 170 player tournie right now and there's a guy from Rutland on the table called Daggers. Surely not?!

As far as I know you don't - unless it goes to a showdown and the player mucks their hand rather than showing, then you can see what they had using most HUD's. Not sure how that guy in the video got to see those hands. Mind you, it's been a while since I've used one so...

I would defo recommend one for MTT's - the amount of times you move table and go up against different players means having any information on the new players you face when you move table is a good idea.

That's probably what it was then 'cos it said 'mucked' on the screen. I just thought it was every folded hand.

I'll have a look at PT and HEM and pick one. I used to think that none of the stats mattered and as long as you just play good hands you'll be alright, but have found out there's much more to it. I've never seen anyones VPIP or PFR before and have only just found out about it!

Got to two final tables last night in a £2 rebuy and in a £2 deepstack. On the rebuy just had the add-on after an hour, no rebuys. Came 4th in that and won the deepstack.

CRUSHED THEM ALL! WHAT A PLAYER! CAN'T BELIEVE SKY SPORTS DIDN'T SHOW IT LIVE.

Finally learning all about position and not letting the good players (at this level) bully me anymore. Destroyed one annoying hyper aggressive lad half way through, turned my head to the Mrs - who was watching a film - and did one of them Partridge maniac laughs 'HA HA HA HA HA HA'. Shat her pants! I used to be a right pussy and feel bad about sending players out. Happy doing that now, and starting to do it like a boss.

I think what it was that made me tougher was seeing other players say 'haha nice one' or 'lol' after someone had sent me, or somebody else, home with really bad play and a suck out. The last time that happened to me I thought 'right that's flipping it you cocksuckers'. Now listen to gang-bangin hip hop in one ear when I play and treat everyone like they the po-leese.

After my victory last night I sat back with my feet up and watched the Kenny Rogers The Gambler video twice, laughing like a nutter and muttering, 'Crushed them bitches. Yo'.

I'll be listening to that song 3 minutes before every tournament I enter from now on and could be unstoppable.

The way things are going I'll probably win the online equivalent of the WSOP once I've got a HUD.

My maths is not that good when I play so Have stopped. It is all about odds, positition and knowing the ranges of the other players. My brother tried to teach me. When I saw him last we had a little discussion regarding your chances against one fish at a table and 5 (6 handed eg.) I was saying you have more chance of being sucked out repeatately. Player one then two etc. But my brother said if you are favourite against one then the next hand you are still favorite if you are better and play right,

Not sure if I explained that right but I accept that he is correct as he is a mathematician.

When he plays he has all sorts of stats on other players.

If the player next to play is any good as long as you don't give them odds to call you can go all in with anything on the button. Especially near the bubble.

Will have to have another go at some point. Just play money. But they are a bit mad in play money games and skill is forgotten.

Alot of the players in the low stake tournies (£1 - £5) are just as mad. All in pre flop so often it gets very annoying sometimes!

Had a bad 2 nights after my wins the other day (although still in profit). Unlucky though I think, didn't do much wrong. Had AA in one against some constant raiser, big blinds were 100, I re-raised the dude from 200 to 500 pre flop. Everyone folded apart from him so I was happy with that. Flop came 10 4 6, I bet about 450 and he went all in, I was worried but put the rest of my chips in. He had KQ with no flush draw so I felt good. Turn came K and the river came flippin K. Couldn't believe it. Did a Phil Hellmuth impression and walked around the room waving my arms saying 'Can you believe these guys? The best player at the table and I'm out!'

In another I got QQ so raised early, got re-raised by another constant over the top raiser so I called. Flop came J 10 5 ( 2 of them were diamonds ). I bet 4 or 5 hundred, dude went all in. Half my stack was already in. I called and he shows 22 one of them being a diamond. Felt pretty good until 2 more diamonds came out. The big shit beat me with a flush. Four running diamonds to win.

I'm trying to improve and take my time in these tournies playing tight aggressive as best I know, so to go out like this is very frustrating.

It happens all the time and makes it so hard to get to a final table in a big tournie. You have people making ridiculous calls and getting lucky. There are so many of these idiots in the tournies I play in. Out of 8 in the last two days I've only been knocked out once by a player who I think played it well (I had AK and flopped two pair, he had AA so flopped 3 A's, didn't grumble at that exit). Thinking about it, one of the other 7 did good aswell, being as he had 2 over cards to the flop, a flush draw and a straight draw so can't really moan at his re-raise that sent me home. He must have been favourite even though I was winning at the time all the chips went in.

i read full tilt is removing the trackers and analytics to make it completely anonymous.

Will everyone else follow suit? Don't want to buy a HUD if they'll be of no use one day soon.

I thought Full Tilt was banned a year or two ago. Must be thinking about another site.

Played a bit on a Facebook game. Did OK but some on there were mad I was folding all sorts after seeing too many callers. I had QQ beaten by AA after waiting ages for something to play. Once I had FH yet I was still being called by 22 with all high cards showing. I made them pay. Muppets.

lol

I'm in a deepstack right now and just got battered twice. Only got 1000 chips left from 5000.

Flopped the nut flush, against some dude who had 88. Flop was 10 8 2 all diamonds (I had AQ diamonds), turn 4 and river 10 to give him full house. Wounded.

Then a few hands later I've got KJ. Flop 7JJ and other dude has flippin 77. Luckily I had 1000 more chips than him else I'd be out now.

Edit : Oh man I've been destroyed tonight. 4 tournaments all gone.

Was in a Bounty Hunter just with KJ of spades. Flop came K47 (the 4 and 7 were spades so had flush draw and top pair with good kicker), felt pretty good so bet. Small blind and big blind both went all in. They both had more chips which sent me all in. They both had a flippin 4 and a 7 each, 2 pair! No spade, K or J came so I was sent packing. Luckily I already had 2 bounty's which covered the entrance fee but still upset.

It's been non stop losing since the other night in tournies. Gonna have to do a fair few cheap sit n go's to get some entrance fees back.

Which sites are best for UK players nowadays? I was on Party Poker a few years back but not sure what it's like now. Fancy joining another that has more people in MTT's.

Sky's alright and I'll stick with them but the MTT's only seem to have 200-400 ish players.

I've heard that Titan and 888 are alright, but not sure.

I'm still with Skybet but want to move to another poker site so that I can keep my football betting money seperate from the poker stack.

Is Pokerstars still the place to go? Would like somewhere that has a fair bit of Omaha action aswell.

Edit : I never did get a HUD as my pc doesn't meet the system requirements.
