Parafox Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 You're not anti-Tory at all, I mean your first post in here only contained the word "Cuntservatives" - that's a man clearly with a impassive position towards them. And if the BBC are slavering over Tory policy that's even more convincing of it's righteousness. Yes, I did say that and that was purely in reference to this proposal.
Rincewind Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Moose Why is it the worst and which parts of my last post do you find intellectual?. Explain how the scheme would be run and funded considering 99% of Job Centres are not designed to facilitate this idea?

Explain how the scheme would be run and funded considering 99% of Job Centres are not designed to facilitate this idea? Thanks Ken, MooseGob has a downer on me because I dared put a view opposed to his own. Oh, and I called him a bad name. He hates that. Yet he does it all the time. Strange fellow.
ADK Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Moose is just a classless cvnt who likes to wind people up, it's got nothing to do with anything anyone posted.
MooseBreath Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 I hadn't said anything to attempt to wind up parafox before he had a pop at me, calling me a twat and telling me how nobody likes me among a few other digs. He's had a few pops at mattp too, and even managed to get a couple of pops in at Jon the hat who did nothing other than offer his usual exceptionally well considered thoughts. When you're lashing out at anyone and everyone, that's when you've lost the plot. His attitude and posts in this thread would be utterly bizarre, if it wasn't for the blindingly obvious bias.

Leicfox Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Surely everyone sent to do this would need CRB checking ?
ADK Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Surely everyone sent to do this would need CRB checking ? The more I think about it the more this sounds like a policy that'll never even be implemented. Just a headline grabber.
Parafox Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Surely everyone sent to do this would need CRB checking ? Don't think so. As far as I know you only need a CRB check if you work with children or have contact with them in your job.
Strokes Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Don't think so. As far as I know you only need a CRB check if you work with children or have contact with them in your job. That's an enhanced crb check, basic disclosers are common practice it seems nowadays.
Rincewind Posted 2 October 2013 Posted 2 October 2013 Had to have one for my part time job and voluntary work and I am sure a lot of jobs require them. Retail, restaurant or most contact with customer jobs. Not very easy for those that have done 3 month for not paying a TV license installment or missed CT payment. Back of the queue for them the crims.
The People's Hero Posted 8 March 2014 Author Posted 8 March 2014 Noticed quite a few on here looking for jobs at the moment. Interested to hear their views on this? Would you rather be working on something for the good of the country and earning a few quid than sat at home and claiming JSA?
The People's Hero Posted 10 August 2014 Author Posted 10 August 2014 Time this came back as I've noticed a few other people mention it recently and the workshy describe is as 'exploitation'... Let's have this out.
Rincewind Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 That's an enhanced crb check, basic disclosers are common practice it seems nowadays. Someone I know who has done time says he puts on his applications if it asks do you have a criminal record? Disclosure at interview because if he put yes his application would go straight in the bin. This way he can present himself in the right way and reveal the efforts and achievements made since being released. Which without going into detail he has done and is helping ex-offenders from ending back inside. There are companies that will take offenders on. And VAL in Leicester have voluntary work that do not require a CRB. Sometimes those that have done time can be the best workers. They have more to prove. I am not referring to habitual criminals but those like youngsters who mat have got into the wrong crowd as teenagers and done training courses while inside. Without someone willing to give them a chance they may fall in with the wrong crowd again.
