DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 My 5 month Holiday is about to come to an end. Scotland was truly beautiful - loved Edinburgh and the Highlands (I'll be back) really enjoyed the orkney breweries too. Followed the Tour de France a little through the mountains - that was great too but so hot. Only had rain during 1 day and a couple of nights here since the beginning of July!!!! The rain was like rivers in the street though and a nightime electrical storm knocked out the internet for 3 days. Quite a summer. Hope we have a good autumn too. I am off to Scotland at the end of this month, in the North Eastern Highlands (Strathpeffer will be my base). Being half Scottish myself, I always like to go there. The distilleries are lovely, especially on the inside. Last year, at one of them, I had twelve single measures of different types, and all FREE!

lavrentis Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I convinced my greek mate at uni theres more to the UK then Leicester, and his mum suggested to do a tour of the UK. I got invited as well, it's pretty weird how i've lived here and probably seen more of teh touristy sights abroad than here in the UK.
Walker Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Booking Budapest for November sometime soon. Anyone been? Don't know much about it but heard it's a really good place to visit...
Guest Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Croatia is a lovely place. but surprisingly expensive.
Guest MattP Posted 26 September 2013 Posted 26 September 2013 What's Dubai like? Any good? I really enjoyed it. Always got to be a bit careful out there but I still managed to get absolutely off my head every night. Just make sure you stay in cabs when you are pissed and don't wander the streets. Around the pools and stuff during the day it's great, dont have to tie anything down and no chance of any petty theft.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 27 September 2013 Posted 27 September 2013 Off to the far N.E. of Scotland tomorrow, for eight days. Love the Northern highlands. You can all have a nice rest for a few days, from my posts, which I am sure will please many people.
Guest Posted 27 September 2013 Posted 27 September 2013 Just found out there's a Halloween Horror night at Universal Studios in LA when I'm there a week on Friday featuring a Walking Dead maze and set to get chased around by Zombies. Score!
