We were paying about 1 Lats for the local beer which is about £1.40, the imported beers were a little bit more expensive. Meals we were just going to basic bars for something to eat which cost 5 Lats. Well worth going Latvia before they join the Euro.
Bayfox Posted 29 July 2013 Posted 29 July 2013 off to the algarve in sept if anyone has any tips for a family with 2 small kids. of to london this weekend for the 1st time in 4 years (football excluded) going proper tourist on it. dungeon, london eye day/night, planet hollywood, ripleys believe it or not, may try to squeeze in hard rock cafe, the mall, hamleys. plus some drinks around convent garden. where else is good for bars and resturants for an evening? me and the missus and some mates prefer a relaxed atmosphere. nothing to mental.

Mambo's that steve_walsh mentioned is great, went to the wet t-shirt contest to find out my mate was already a judge for it and some bloke brought his kids! All these world class women kissing an unsuspecting 5 year old. Hopefully he'll remember it Tear gas on the first night, as that Toure chant got out of control. Loved it, would definitely go again. Wish I was there longer than a week.

The bloke on the microphone just rips into anyone who has something physical about them he doesn't like. As soon as I got there, I thought it'd be best to take my hat off I'm not sure if you're going to be on the pull or not, but the boy:girl ratio isn't as bad as I had read about, although I might have dropped lucky or picked the right bars/clubs. I just wish I went to more varied things like gigs, parties etc rather than the strip most nights

Only been to a dozen and a half cities in my lifetime If you like Spanish Tapas go to "Casa Don Carlos" in Union street Brighton,its in the " Lanes" area,it was fantastic.Book though its really busy but worth it and not that expensive.
