Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Loved hearing a song from L Block last night that had the line "we're the boys in blue", but couldn't make out any other lines. Anyone able to say what the lines of the tune are??! Cheers
Xen Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Loved hearing a song from L Block last night that had the line "we're the boys in blue", but couldn't make out any other lines. Anyone able to say what the lines of the tune are??! Cheers Wasn't the Melbourne Victory one, was it? Leicester City Our boys in blue The terrace sings As one for you (/a song for you)
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 February 2013 Author Posted 1 February 2013 Sounds right mate. I sit in family end now so struggle to hear what is. Cheers
Libertine Dream Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Its taking a while to catch on but we're getting there
Carl the Llama Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 The Al Jazeera stream I was watching picked this up quite clearly for the minute or two it was sung. Should sound great come the forest match.
!-LCFC-! Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I Tweeted this out to Leicester players a couple of months back, to get fans to sing it. I got retweets off players like Andy King, Nuge , schlupp. And now we sing it!
Lukey Boi Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Jobber needs to get the drum on the last (A song for you) before it goes to the dadadadaa....
crisp packet Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I think the la la la la la bit should be more rowdy!!! It kind of dies out ? Jobber needs to drum that bit better?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 We struggle on the lalalala bit cos not many people know the tune. The people that do need to shout the loudest and hope the others can pick up on it. It's not that hard to pick up just each syllable of the lines replaced by a "la" ! Oh and I though Jobber did a good job, and he slowed the Ben Marshall chant right down thank god.
Dan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Jobber should do pretty much the exact same tune as he does for WLY, at a decent, consistent tempo too. I doubt he'll ever match Ajax's version though; 3 mins in.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Yeah just seen that vid, you in the AMF group Dan?
scottthefox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 This song does sound quality, need to get it going at Peterborough seeing as we will actually be on a proper terrace for once
Dan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Yeah just seen that vid, you in the AMF group Dan? I am indeed. Was me who posted it.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 This song does sound quality, need to get it going at Peterborough seeing as we will actually be on a proper terrace for once Exactly Hence my non-stop chanting of it at Peterborough last season awesome that it's catching on!
Lobsterboyuk Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Definitely loudest I've heard it last night, big improvement as folk pick up on the "da da da" bit IMO from previous efforts.
1964FOX Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Jobber should do pretty much the exact same tune as he does for WLY, at a decent, consistent tempo too. I doubt he'll ever match Ajax's version though; 3 mins in. Thayer do have a large amount of singers and 2 small drums which are better for this kind of chant.
Matt Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I went to the Melbourne Derby (Melbourne Victory v Melbourne Heart) over Christmas, the atmosphere was amazing, up there with one of the best i've experienced. This is how it's done; Pretty much everyone stayed (Well Victory fans anyway) after the match for about 15 - 20 minutes chanting and celebrating, here is after the match; Take notes as regards atmosphere!
scottthefox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Exactly Hence my non-stop chanting of it at Peterborough last season awesome that it's catching on! Weren't you smashed at Peterborough last season?
anotherharboroughfox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Weren't you smashed at Peterborough last season? noooooo
1964FOX Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Weren't you smashed at Peterborough last season? He was well beyond smashed.
