MC Prussian Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Yes, it's not your typical Metal Gear game, still it offers entertaining hack & slash action. Oh, and you can even upgrade your skllls, so it's not that one-dimensional: Will be getting the Cyborg Ninja DLC version, if only to waste some spare time in trade for some hilarious splatter scenes. Reminds me of Mortal Kombat in some ways.
Frank_mckenzie Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 i'm sorry but this sould have never been called a metal gear game and it will be a a black mark against what is an epic franchise
MC Prussian Posted 15 February 2013 Author Posted 15 February 2013 It certainly is no part of the "Solid" (MGS) series, but I don't mind the difference in gaming genre. In fact, I expect it to be loads of fun and less strategy based. "Devil May Cry" meets "Onimusha", so to speak.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 The Metal Gear name was already tainted by the lame Ac!d games for PSP, and the iPhone game. This looks very different from the MGS games, but could be a great action game in its own right The only thing I'm worried about is that like pretty much ALL hack n' slash games, they're fantastic fun for 2 hours and then I lose attention at a much quicker rate. DMC, Ninja Gaiden, I loved those games for one weekend each and never returned
Yojoe36 Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 I've played the demo of this and personally can't get into it. I'll stick with DmC, even though the reboot's combat is slightly dumbed down.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Looks proper shit this, keep on with DS3 and see how Tomb Raider fairs in the reviews. Having bought Omerta and Aliens CM and put them both back on Amazon within days of purchase I am now very warry of Shite games.
Foxhateram Posted 16 February 2013 Posted 16 February 2013 I thought it looked pants but I played the demo yesterday and wow what a game! It very much follows on form the mgs story and is just a new way of fighting against a new type of very intelligent AI. You still need to use stealth and strategy to prevent massive and unwind able battles and there is still the caution and alert stealth alerts. It is incredible with fantastic graphics I very much recommend getting the demo.
MC Prussian Posted 19 February 2013 Author Posted 19 February 2013 It's getting good to very good reviews. Judging from the first user comments, the only minus point so far is that the campaign mode is relatively short, coming in at roughly six hours.
