Free Falling Foxes Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 I used to deliver this. I know most people 'filed it' straight away so perhaps that answers my question but we no longer receive it (in Glenfield) and I've heard that other areas don't either - yet some do! Just curious....... FFF
Webbo Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 We got it today, although it's just changed it's name to Mercury Extra.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 27 February 2013 Author Posted 27 February 2013 We got it today, although it's just changed it's name to Mercury Extra. Where abouts are you? Someone told me they don't do the city area now just the county!? Edit: You're in Syston
Webbo Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Syston. They probably can't get anyone to distribute it now. When I was a kid me and my sister used to share a Leicester Trader round which was quite good money iIrc at the time. My kids got a round distributing Lidl leaflets a few years ago but the money was rubbish for the size of the round.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 28 February 2013 Posted 28 February 2013 I had no idea it still existed. Ratby just gets an LE6-centred magazine called The Local now.
jonthefox Posted 28 February 2013 Posted 28 February 2013 How much do you get for a paper round these days ?.
Wakeyfox Posted 28 February 2013 Posted 28 February 2013 I used to have a Mail round in Glenfield in about 1988/89. There was about 300 fooking papers, you had to put leaflets in as well and I had to fill the bag about 4 times. Took me about 3-4 hours and on average got about £5-£7 depending on the amount of leaflets. I was around 14 and stuck it for about a year, so can't have been that bad.
