lavrentis Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Is there any investors on here? Stocks, bonds, assets etc? Pretty interested to know as I am tempted to start a collection of gold. I don't think the future looks good for the pound!
lavrentis Posted 24 March 2013 Author Posted 24 March 2013 Houses are a decent investment. I invest in these! I've read the total opposite mate But I guess if people know what they are doing!
Sly Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 They are more of a long term thing. If you have regular rent income that covers the outgoings it works. I suppose it's like any investment, as long as you know what you are buying and it's resale value and believe you can make money then worth a punt. It's better than the interst rate you'll get in a bank in my eyes.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Mot a clue but I always heard that the safest investment is land.
MooseBreath Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 I put some of my salary each month into a few investment funds. 100% equity for now, fairly even geographic spread with a slight bias towards emerging markets
johnny the fox Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 I always stand by the advice of grandpapa, sell pork bellies buy gold !
whoareyaaa Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Solid investment.... Domains. go and buy a few 3 letter .com domains for a few thousand each, solid investment plus you will make a healthy profit at the end of it. even 1 word .coms are worth buying into, some bloke sold Sushi.com last month for 1 million dollars.
jonthefox Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Spread your investments. Also a pension is a good way to save. I know you can't imagine it now, but one day you'll be old.
Guest Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 I invested in Leicester City once - look how that turned out. Never invest using the heart.
