Fred Talbots "warm front"

My Mrs met him around 1989 or 1990 when she was aged 9 on that Daytime show at Pebble Mill.

The father-in-law was with her waiting in the green room and had he known about this he would have dived onto the floating weather map and tackled this fella.

Only one left now to get caught in my eyes, Timmy Mallett! You just know that the phrase "Mallets Mallet" has a hidden meaning and use....

Really didn't like him, one of those nice guy for the camera types.

Another TV person who, when you hear the news, you say "Well, I'm not surprised"

Really? You thought he was a kiddy fiddler from the way he jumped over to northern Ireland in a loud Christmas jumper?

I mean Rolf, savile, they worked with kids all the time, but Fred was just a weatherman, unless he did other things I wasn't aware of, apart from sexually cause kids.

Although to be honest it is getting to the point now where none of these revelations are surprising, in fact it was so rife in the 80s I'm actually starting to think what's wrong with me, that I got left out.

I'm sure some people will say they knew because of his jumpers and glasses...

I do think it's wrong that they all get named before they have faced a trial and been convicted of anything.

I don't know what will happen in the prosecutions of Michael LeVell, Stuart Hall, Max Clifford, the, ahem "unnamed 82 year old" (he's now 83) from Berkshire etc, but even if they were all found not guitly, mud sticks. Ask poor Dave Jones.

Accusations of sexual misconduct or abuse are different to other crimes people stand accused of and, interesting though such cases doubtless are, I don't consider that the people involved in such cases should have their identities reported until a conviction is secured.

Edit - Forgot to say once they ARE convicted, of course they are fair game.

That was my point - cleared completely, yet subjected to fans singing about him being a fiddler for years.
