Brightons restrictions IF they play C Palace in Playoffs

Ridiculous. Police should just keep their mouths shut and get on with doing their job. What next? A campaign to stop people leaving their houses after dark?

A campaign to stop it from ever being dark would work for me. Make the sun work full time the lazy idol bar steward! 24/7 sunlight please! Only then will we be safe in our homes from all the palace and Brighton fans

What's ironic is that palace and brighton probably have the least hard fanbases in the football league.

Well,what kind of hard?

But overall agree , I'd stick a couple more clubs in the mixer but neither club really has a reputation for trouble and we haven't put any restrictions on them for the fixture Monday night.

It's the Met being busy bodies really.

Cheers - by the way to wrap this thread up in a neat little bow

Alison Gurden, who won The Bar Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in 2012, has written a letter to the commissioner of the MET asking for clarification on the various restrictions imposed on fans, a copy of which can be seen HERE.

Her basic argument is that the current restrictions do not comply with laws on stop and search.

Speaking about the restrictions, she said, “I agree that they are draconian, and more importantly I believe they are unworkable.

“They don’t take into account the lack of powers a steward has to stop a fan, it is certainly not clear why there could be the need to stop and check fans when they are traveling home, and I think they open both the police and the clubs up to legal challenge.â€
