Brightons restrictions IF they play C Palace in Playoffs

It's their own stupid fault for having such a pointless little rivalry, if they cause trouble in there games then they only have themselves to blame. If this became norm for football fans I would be pissed off, but they act like twats when they play each other so treat them like twats.

so if i purchase a ticket but cannot make it at last minute i am not aloud to give it to my best mate who is desperate to go and has never cause any trouble in his life?

joke!

Hardly that stressful for any visiting fan. You have a wallet with a license in it, when you give in your ticket (like every game ever) you might be asked is that really you; and you go yeah heres my id mate; and you go in. Seriously is that a massive task? Is it worth boycotting your biggest game in God knows how many years? Because you dont want to flash your driving license at someone whos already stopped you to check your ticket?

When have you ever been made to show ID for a game before. I certainly haven't.

Why do they need to give everyone's details to the police and to palace football club (Well known to have thug stewards too).

It won't be long before this is standard procedure though thanks to people like yourself!

Absolute joke yet absolutely nothing will be done about it and we as football fans will be continued to be looked at as the scum of the earth despite the fact it's a vast minority who bring the entire reputation down.

Take special measures to ban the troublemakers, and stop punishing everyone for the minority's faults.

I didnt even know they were rivals until this season?! Bit over the top to be honest, Liverpool play Everton Sunday I bet they dont get treated like this!

I'm a big critic of the mummy state but these conditions look pretty bog standard to me. They're mostly alll about the police and the clubs covering their own backs. I can't see how any of the conditions are going to have a negative impact upon most people's experience of the game.

Ironically the lefty Brighton fans are the type who have brought this kind of crap upon everyone by always seeking to blame someone else. If it wasn't for the blame culture we wouldn't need any of this softly softly super careful crap. Police would just go at troublemakers with truncheons. Problem solved. But no, the lefties moan about that citing "oppression" and now lo and behold here they are moaning at this approach too, "ah human rites, totalitarianism, 3dum of chois innit". Cvnts. You can be damn sure they'll be the first ****ers blaming everyone else in the event of any trouble.

It's daft considering both the league games have passed major incident free.

Wonder what hoops that lot will have to jump through when(if) they come down to ours mind.

Btw the rivalry from our POV is still that they are local in comparison to us - Crawley don't really count.

I dunno i've grown up living in a police state, on a night out you need ID to get into pretty much any bar or club and it's pretty clear it's not just about age.

I'm sure this will soon become the norm for football matches as it gives the police an easier time tracing people and the clubs probably won't mind either. I can see they'll start allowing you to change the person on the ticket for a £10 "admin" fee so it will bring in abit of extra revenue too.

what else is it about?

I'm sure they quite like to make sure everyone there has personal ID on them in case there's any trouble. During the day you won't be asked for ID if you actually look clearly old enough.

Apart from America I can't think where I've needed I.D to get into a nightclub for about 7-8 years.

And I include United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, China, Canada, Spain and Denmark in that. (humblebrag)

Was it TABU? lol I'd been on it for about 36 hours non stop and staggered up to try and get in there, 2 bouncers asked for I,D, had lost my passport so said i didn't have anything on me, argued for about 10 mins before walking away. Turned round and charged up and tried to jump the rope, tripped and fell head first onto the floor.

Got escorted out the premises and went back to the Excalibur where I was staying, went to reception and got told I had to go to the hospital as my roommate had downed a load of Jaegerbombs, fell into a craps table and been sent off to have his stomach pumped. lol

Need to get out there again this year.

Yes it was, not very big in there but we had reserved a table. One of the lads who was with us couldn't get in because he wasn't wearing pants this resulted him in pulling down his shorts and standing infront of the doorman shouting "what are these then" whilst pointing to his wide fronts.

Looking at going back out there again in August depending on whether I can tempt a couple of friends to come with me.

This.

You could probably see where the police were coming from if there had been incidents at the league games.

Good read this

and apparently the Met were pushing for NO away fans at the game Friday night.

Got my ticket but absolutely dreading it - on AND off the pitch.

Ridiculous.  Police should just keep their mouths shut and get on with doing their job.  What next?  A campaign to stop people leaving their houses after dark?
