The Horse's Mouth Posted 16 June 2013 Posted 16 June 2013 Some people dont have the intelligence to understand it yer knocking a ball with a bat is fvcking intelligent.
Langley Posted 16 June 2013 Posted 16 June 2013 yer knocking a ball with a bat is fvcking intelligent. So is kicking a one with a foot?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 16 June 2013 Posted 16 June 2013 So is kicking a one with a foot? Haha, you think you've got me. But I never claimed that football was intelligent in fact it is very much the opposite.
Langley Posted 16 June 2013 Posted 16 June 2013 Haha, you think you've got me. But I never claimed that football was intelligent in fact it is very much the opposite. Then why are you on here?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 It's pretty self explanatory. Intelligence and Enjoyment are very different things.
nickyboy Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 Baseball > Cricket How do you work that one out? I follow most sports including the main yank attempts at sport and even though baseball isn't too shabby, it is miles behind Cricket
Langley Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 How do you work that one out? I follow most sports including the main yank attempts at sport and even though baseball isn't too shabby, it is miles behind Cricket I can't stand baseball. Went to Petco Park & the Qualcomm stadium a few times to watch the Padres play a couple of times. Could literally hear someone fart on the other side of the ground. Intelligence and Enjoyment are very different things. Took you 11 hours to come up with that?
Swiss_tony Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 i go to baseball quite a lot, and in Oakland it ain't quiet!
muzzycomeback Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 Maybe I'd you all lived in a county with a proper team you'd like it more
ozleicester Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 i go to baseball quite a lot, and in Oakland it ain't quiet! Looking at going to a game in San Francisco in September... hows their park.. wheres a good place to sit?.. or should i go to Oakland?
deanolegend1989 Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Some people dont have the intelligence to understand it If it rains when a team is about to win a game, the times runs out and it ends a draw. You dont need intelligence to realise that is an utter pile of F*K haha..in fact quite the opposite. Only thick people would see that as a non issue. Imagine that in football..Manchester Utd 8-0 Leicester...Pearson wants Fergie time to give it more chance of raining and getting a draw. There is 1 positive thing about cricket...When its over.

So when we played ipwich away nearly 3 years ago, you were not hoping the ref called the game off at 3-0 down? It's not the only sport that the result is effected by weather, look at motorsport. If you don't like rain, you are in the wrong country pal.

Yeh I was hoping he called it off..because as a Leicester fan I want every bit of 'luck'. But if it did get called off it would of been 'unfair' and 'utter BS' from Ipswichs point of view. I respect peoples views of Cricket. I find it utter rubbish and a poor excuse for a sport..when it takes a good 30 secs to a minute for every ball..half the team standing around the field or the batting team watching indoors, the stupid draw rule, amongst other things. However if people like it then fair enough, but to say about intelligence envolved was a bit silly. Its just to do with what people find entertaining, and Id say a majority of people prefer football>cricket and thank god because thats why it gets more coverage .

The intelligence comment was tongue in cheek, pretty clear I thought.Cricket has some great points and is entertaining but some people need to be on the edge of their seats I guess. I can't wait for the ashes series, its one of the greatest sporting events in history imo.
